Born in 1985 in West Bengal, Mouni hails from a typical Bengali family. Her father, Anil Roy, is a Zila Parishad secretary, and her mother, Mukti, is a theatre artist. After studying at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Cooch Behar, Mouni pursued a media degree from Jamia Millia Islamia in Delhi. With her charming performance in the popular soap opera Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Mouni made her television debut in 2006 and soon became famous. Mouni's fame grew even more after she participated in the reality dance program Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. But in 2016, she participated in the ground-breaking series Naagin, which not only gave her a chance to showcase her skills but also opened doors for her in Bollywood.

Challenges on the Big Screen
