Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday congratulated former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on his 92nd birthday. In a post on Twitter (formerly X), Modi said, "Happy Birthday to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji. I pray to God that Manmohan Singh Ji gets a long and healthy life."
Manmohan Singh served as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014 and before that he served as the Finance Minister of the country during the tenure of the government led by PV Narasimha Rao from 1991 to 1996.

Manmohan Singh ji has been the first Sikh Prime Minister of the country. After former Prime Minister Nehru, he was the first Prime Minister who was re-elected by the people for the post of Prime Minister after completing his 5-year term. He was born in Gah, a village in Punjab, Pakistan, but came to India after the partition of 1947.
How Was Manmohan Singh's Early Life
After coming from Pakistan, Manmohan Singh came to Haldwani. When Manmohan ji was young, his mother died. His grandparents raised him and got him educated. Manmohan Singh's early education was in Urdu language.
Even when he became the Prime Minister of India, he used to write the script of his speech in Urdu language only. Apart from this, many times he used to write his speech in Gurmukhi also. In 1948, Manmohan Singh started living in Amritsar, Punjab, where he completed his studies from Hindu College.
He completed his Bachelor's degree in Economics from Punjab University, Hoshiarpur in 1952 and after that completed his Master's degree in 1954. Along with this, he completed his Economics studies from Cambridge University in 1957. Along with this, Manmohan Singh has also been a member of St. John's College.
