Derabassi MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa today handed over the first instalment of a grant sanctioned under Prime Minister Awas Yojna (Gramin) to 69 beneficiaries at Pandwala Village. He said that the beneficiaries found eligible to fulfil conditions of the PMAY would be given the total amount in three instalments, today they would get the first instalment of Rs 30,000 for starting construction, the second instalment of Rs 72,000 at Lintel level and the third and last instalment of Rs 18,000 on completion.
He asked the beneficiaries to start work immediately so that they could get a pakka house as per their dreams. Earlier, he lent an ear to the problems of the residents of Haibatpur, Sundara, Mubarkpur, Khedi, Nimbua, Dafarpur and Kakrali villages at Pandwala Village during ‘Sarkar Tuhade Dwar’ Camp.
He said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab Government is committed to serving the residents at their doorsteps and the facilitation camps being organised at the village level are in line to deliver the promise made by the Punjab Chief Minister. The MLA said that an administrative team led by SDM Derabassi Himanshu Gupta and officers from various departments remained present in the camp to dispose of the official obligations towards the residents who visited the camp.
He said that the public facilitation is not limited to these camps instead the residents have also been empowered to dial a toll-free number 1076 to get 43 notified services at their door steps. He said that Hundreds of people availing the benefit of this home delivery of citizen services scheme that is gaining popularity among the citizens.
By adding that the services being provided to the citizens through dial 1076, are most of those, for which earlier they had to visit SEWA Kendras or Government Offices and Now the Government representatives have been visiting their homes to provide the required services like Residence Certificate, Caste certificate, Income certificate, Birth/Death certificate, Fard, Labour Registration, Pension, Rural area certificate and others can be applied and delivered in camps.
