Ram Madhav, the BJP's J&K election in-charge, visited South Kashmir’s Pulwama district to campaign for the party's candidates as the first phase of the J&K Assembly elections approaches its final day of campaigning. With star campaigners rallying support across the valley, Ram Madhav's focus was on two key constituencies in Pulwama where the BJP is contesting: Rajpora and Pampore.
In Rajpora, Arshid Ahmad Bhat is running on a BJP ticket, while in Pampore, Showkat Ahmad Gayoor is the BJP candidate. Ram Madhav, along with Dr. Darakshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the JK Waqf Board, also extended their campaign to Shopian district.
During his visit to the Nikas area of Pulwama, Madhav listened to grievances and demands from delegations, assuring them that their concerns would be addressed. Speaking to the media, he reiterated that the BJP's primary objective is to create a terrorism-free and family-politics-free J&K.
He stressed that if the BJP falls short of seats in government formation, only like-minded people contesting the elections will be part of the government. Ram Madhav also criticized Congress, accusing the party of following National Conference’s manifesto, which includes the restoration of Articles 370 and 35A and the release of prisoners measures that the BJP strongly opposes.
