Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, the President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee and the Member of Parliament from Ludhiana, today laid the foundation stone for the much-anticipated upgradation of the Jagraon to Hathur via Dallaha, Mallah, and Chakar road (T-01).

This 24.58-km stretch of road, set to be upgraded and maintained under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY-III), will significantly enhance connectivity and ease travel for residents across several villages. The road, which will be 18 feet wide, will be constructed at a cost of ₹20.55 crore, with the tender awarded and work to begin soon.

Amarinder Singh Raja Warring reaffirmed his commitment to Ludhiana’s development, emphasizing that the road project marks just the beginning of many such initiatives in the pipeline. “I have always believed in ensuring the holistic development of Ludhiana, and this road is a testament to that. We are ready and committed to fulfilling every promise we made to the people of Ludhiana.

No hurdle can stop the progress of this constituency as long as we are in service to the people.”Warring also sharply criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government for the delays in other road projects under central schemes. He pointed out that several central projects had either been delayed or revoked due to the AAP government’s inability to secure the required land in time.

The incompetence of the Aam Aadmi Party has led to multiple central projects being revoked. Their slow land acquisition processes have caused unnecessary delays, pushing important developmental works into jeopardy. If we leave it to the AAP, all central projects and funds for Punjab and Ludhiana will get revoked,” Warring remarked.

Highlighting the importance of this particular road for the residents of Jagraon and surrounding areas, Warring added, “This upgraded road will serve as a lifeline for the residents, making travel easier, boosting local trade, and improving connectivity to vital services. But let me assure you, this is just the beginning. Every work mentioned in our manifesto and any project that contributes to the betterment of Ludhiana will be completed, one step at a time.”

Following the foundation stone ceremony, the PPCC Chief interacted with the people of Ludhiana at his Ludhiana office. Later in the day, he visited Atam Nagar Constituency and is set to join the masses in celebrating the 21st Ganesh Mahautsav at several key locations in the city, including Haibowal Kalan, Daresi Ground, and Janakpuri.

Speaking on the significance of Ganesh Mahautsav, Warring emphasized the importance of festivals in fostering unity and cultural harmony. “Festivals like Ganesh Mahautsav are an occasion for all of us to come together and celebrate as one community.

I look forward to joining the people in the vibrant celebrations this evening, offering my prayers, and celebrating with the masses. This festival is a reminder of our shared values and traditions, which continue to bind us together as a society,” he stated.

With the foundation stone laid and construction set to begin, the upgraded road from Jagraon to Hathur via Dallaha, Mallah, and Chakar will serve as a crucial infrastructure development, enhancing transport facilities and improving the quality of life for Ludhiana’s residents. This project is a testament to Raja Warring’s vision of a developed Ludhiana, and his dedication to delivering on every promise made to the people of the constituency.
