With only two days left for the deadline for sending public suggestions to the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) constituted to review the Wakf (Amendment) Bill, both Muslim and Hindu groups have intensified their campaigns to ensure that people send their feedback to the government as quickly as possible. Along with all this, Mr. Mahali said that we had called upon the people to use our QR code to send suggestions to JPC through Namaz on Friday, September 6, 2024 and within two hours, six lakh people have used this QR code.
Waqf Amendment 2024 JPC Meeting Will Be Held From 18 To 20 September

The Joint Parliamentary Committee meeting on the Wakf Amendment Bill is being held from September 18 to 20. On September 11, 2024, the Rajya Sabha panel had summoned officials of the Ministry of Minority Affairs to examine the reasons for the delay in completing the process of subordinate legislation under the Wakf Act of 2013. The move comes at a time when a JPC is examining the Wakf (Amendment) Bill, 2024. The JPC wants to make changes to the Wakf (Amendment) Act of 2013.
