In consonance with the commitment of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann led the Punjab Government to make Punjab more progressive and prosperous, Punjab State Traders Commission (Excise and Taxation Department, Punjab) Chairman, Anil Thakur asked the GST, Excise and Mobile wing officials to take stringent measures to plug loopholes in tax collection in state.
Chairing a meeting regarding the matter related to GST, mobile wing and excise of the state of Punjab, the Chairman discussed the various issues of traders and business communities and instructed the officials of Excise and taxation, GST and mobile wing to take a necessary measures to increase the revenue and coordination among the department and business community.
The meeting was attended by members of the Punjab State Traders' Commission, Vineet Verma, Anil Bhardwaj, Sheetal Juneja, Atul Nagpal, *Inderbansh Chadda,* Raj Agarwal and officials from GST, Excise and Mobile wing of Punjab. Joint Commissioner Mobile wing Jaskaran Brar assured that necessary action would be taken to increase the revenue and build a harmonious relationship between departments and traders, industries and business communities.
Chairman Anil Thakur while stressing the need for cordial relations with traders also asked the officials to resolve their issues related to taxes on priority. The officers from GST, Excise and Mobile wing Harsimrat Kaur, Dr Shivani Gupta, Manish Nayyar and Deepinder Kaur attended the meeting and ensured to resolve the problems of traders in the state.
