In a unique initiative, the Rupnagar district administration has been organizing weekly public grievance Jav Sunvai camps in all five sub-divisions of the district, namely Nangal, Sri.Anandpur Sahib, Rupnagar, Morinda, and Chamkaur Sahib. This effort is part of the "Sarkar Aapke Dawaar" program launched by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, aimed at addressing the problems and issues faced by the people, especially those living in remote and inaccessible areas.

Earlier, people from far-flung villages would struggle to get their issues resolved due to lack of information or the hassle of visiting offices. However, under the Punjab government's instructions, various departments of the district administration are now reaching out to the villagers and resolving their issues on the spot.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav is personally monitoring these camps, ensuring that people's grievances are addressed promptly. During these weekly camps, most of the people's routine problems and issues are resolved on the spot, while the remaining cases are being addressed systematically.

In a bid to address the grievances of people in rural areas, the Rupnagar district administration has set up help desks at weekly camps in various sub-divisions of the district. These camps provide a platform for people to register their complaints, which are then heard by the Deputy Commissioner and other officials on the spot.

Apart from personal and common issues, the camps also focus on resolving problems faced by panchayats. The Chief Minister's Field Officer is collecting feedback from all the camps and ensuring that it reaches the concerned authorities.

This initiative has greatly benefited people from remote villages who earlier faced difficulties in reaching out to district officials or availing of various facilities. The departments that are addressing the grievances at these camps include Rural Development and Panchayats, Drainage and Mining, Water Supply, Police, Education, Health, Agriculture and Horticulture, Social Security, Food and Supply, Powercom, and Pollution Control Board.

The Deputy Commissioner is issuing directions to the concerned district officers to resolve these issues and ensure that people receive the benefits of various facilities in a timely manner. The initiative is yielding positive results, making it easier for people to access government services and facilities.

Under the "Sarkar Aapke Dawaar" program, camps have been organized in various sub-divisions of the district to address the grievances of the people. These camps have been set up on the following dates and locations, June 20, 2024: Katlor, Kandhola, and Khanpur in Chamkaur Sahib sub-division, June 27, 2024: Mahindli Kalan, Chandpur, and Harival in Sri Anandpur Sahib sub-division, July 3, 2024: Ward No. 3, 10, and 12 in Morinda, July 10, 2024: Sukhsal, Mahilwal, and Bhallan in Nangal sub-division, July 17, 2024: Saini Majra (Dhakki), Saini Majra (Jatt Patty), and Biko in Rupnagar sub-division, July 24, 2024: Mehtot, Fatehpur, and Rampur Bet in Sri Chamkaur Sahib sub-division, July 31, 2024: Badhal Lower, Jhijri Upper, and Jhijri Lower in Sri Anandpur Sahib sub-division, August 7, 2024: Musapur, Chahar Majra, and Kubbewal in Sri Anandpur Sahib sub-division, August 14, 2024: Burmajra, Rasulpur, and Samroli in Morinda sub-division, August 21, 2024: Goslan, Seho Majra, and Mugal Majri in Rupnagar sub-division, August 28, 2024: Tapprian Ghadripsur, Suratpur, and Mojijdinpur in Sri Chamkaur Sahib sub-division.

People from the respective areas have attended these camps and brought their issues to the attention of the administration, which have been resolved on the spot. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav has directed the district officials to ensure that the camps are utilized to resolve people's grievances related to various departments and to provide benefits of welfare schemes to the needy.

These camps are a testament to the government's commitment to good governance.
