The Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is making continuous efforts to promote and preserve the rich cultural heritage of the state. This was stated by Cabinet Minister Aman Arora while inaugurating the second session of the three-day Teej festival Tiyan da mela at village Bhalaiana today.
Arora said that the Punjab Government is committed to connecting the new generation with its rich heritage through various initiatives. He praised the efforts of the state government in organizing such events, which showcase the vibrant culture of Punjab.
The Cabinet Minister also visited the stalls set up by various self-help groups and appreciated their efforts. He said that such events help in promoting the rich cultural heritage of Punjab and also provide a platform for the empowerment of women.
Earlier, Arora was welcomed by Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Tripathi, SSP Tushar Gupta, ADC Surinder Singh Dhillon, SDM Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, and other officials. The teeyan da melal is being organized by the Punjab Government's Cultural Affairs Department, and it aims to promote the rich cultural heritage of the state.
The festival features various cultural programs, including folk dances, music, and handicraft exhibitions. Renowned Punjabi singer Gurlez Akhtar also performed at the event, enthralling the audience with her mesmerizing voice.
The festival will continue for two more days, featuring various cultural events and activities that showcase the rich cultural heritage of Punjab.
