On the second day of the Outreach Program cum Multimedia Exhibition organised by the Central Bureau of Communication of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on the theme of various flagship schemes of Government of India, various speakers and experts addressed from the podium.
Speaking on the occasion, Gurmeet Singh (IIS), FPO, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said that three new criminal laws have recently come into force across the country, following which, such exhibitions are becoming medium to make the people understand the technical aspects of the new laws. Along with this, efforts are being made to educate the people about different welfare schemes of the government through this multimedia exhibition.
While addressing from the podium, Punjab Pollution Control Board's Environmental Engineer Gurkaran Singh appealed to the farmers to avoid stubble burning and asked them to adopt the other available alternatives of it. He uttered that some people consider cleanliness to only throwing their household waste outside other person's house, which is completely wrong.
On the contrary, it is necessary to keep the entire locality, city/village and country clean like one's own house, only then the Clean India campaign can be become successful. During this program of the Government of India, under the command of Professor Swinder Rekhi, Chief Nodal Officer of Mohindra College, several speakers and experts expressed their views on various topics.
Swinder Rekhi said that the idea of educating the people through this multimedia exhibition is a good initiative of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, which should continue as a mission. On this occasion, Professor Ramneet Kaur described the Poshan Abhiyan as a revolutionary scheme, whereas Professor Muhammad Sohail gave the message of water conservation.
Along with this, Professor Paramveer expressed his views on Fit India, Professor Rajiv Sharma on Clean India and Professor Rai Bahadur Singh on other relevant topics. Meanwhile, the enthralling performances of the students, especially group songs and cultural folk dances were the point of attraction during this program.
Apart from this, a message of cleanliness was also conveyed through a street play by Noor Nat Kala Kendra.
