The Health and Civil Aviation Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta, hoisted the flag at the district-level Independence Day ceremony held at the Giri Center of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. Earlier, the Cabinet Minister paid floral tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country's freedom and those who gave their lives to maintain the unity and integrity of the nation after independence, at the martyr memorial near the Mini Secretariat complex.
During the ceremony, the Cabinet Minister announced a grant of Rs. 2 lakh to the district welfare center and Rs. 5 lakh to be given to all the children presenting cultural programs. He said that the country has achieved significant milestones in various fields since independence. The nation is producing missiles with advanced technology and is also running missions like Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan, said Dr. Kamal Gupta.
The Minister said that the country has a robust network of railways and road transport. Due to numerous ambitious achievements, the world acknowledges our strength. He said that the present state government, which is committed to good governance and public service with the resolution of serving the people, has worked towards the progress and upliftment of everyone, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's core principle of 'Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas' and 'Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek'.
He said that Parivar Pehchan Patra is a document through which eligible individuals are provided benefits of various schemes. The government has implemented several welfare schemes for the public. He said that the central and Haryana governments have worked to eliminate corruption, instilling confidence in every youth that they can secure their place through hard work and talent.
Dr. Kamal Gupta said that Haryana is the first state in the country to offer the highest cash rewards to medal-winning athletes. He said that the present state government is providing employment opportunities to the youth based on merit.
