Continuing with its campaign, the Chandigarh BJP took out an impressive padyatra under 'Har Ghar Tiranga' movement here at Sector 17 plaza today. Party president Jatinder Pal Malhotra led the padyatra. National vice-president of the party Saudan Singh, Rajya Sabha member Satnam Singh Sandhu and senior party leader Sanjay Tandon were among several prominent persons, who joined the campaign.
Carrying national flags and raising slogans, BJP leaders walked on foot and encouraged people to hoist the tricolour at their homes. The rally started at 6 pm and went on till late evening. Party leaders greeted walkers and other visitors during the padyatra.
Speaking on the occasion, party president, said, "We are enthusiastically organising the campaign, which will go on till independence day. It will encourage people to come forward and hoist the flag. It will instill a feeling of patriotism in people.
People were happy to see Tricolour fluttering in the air at the heart of Chandigarh today." Saudan Singh, senior party leader, congratulated the city BJP for the ongoing campaign and motivated them to keep up the momentum.
Rajya Sabha member Satnam Singh Sandhu said such events hold a great significance in nation building. Sanjay Tandon said the party has been at the forefront to make this campaign a success.
The party had planned to hoist 70 thousand tricolour. The campaign started from August 11 and BJP workers are going door-to-door to distribute the Tricolour. Party General Secretary Amit Jindal is the convener of the campaign.
While vice presidents Shakti Devshali and Devender Singh Babla are the co-conveners. They along with general secretary Hukam Chand and other leaders also took part in the padyatra.
Amit Jindal said they have planned another major event tomorrow.
भाजपा ने 'हर घर तिरंगा' अभियान के तहत निकाली प्रभावशाली पदयात्रा

चंडीगढ़ भाजपा ने अपने अभियान को जारी रखते हुए आज सेक्टर 17 प्लाजा में 'हर घर तिरंगा' आंदोलन के तहत प्रभावशाली पदयात्रा निकाली। पार्टी अध्यक्ष जतिंदर पाल मल्होत्रा ने पदयात्रा का नेतृत्व किया। पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय उपाध्यक्ष सौदान सिंह, राज्यसभा सदस्य सतनाम सिंह संधू और वरिष्ठ पार्टी नेता संजय टंडन सहित कई प्रमुख व्यक्ति इस अभियान में शामिल हुए।
राष्ट्रीय ध्वज लेकर और नारे लगाते हुए भाजपा नेता पैदल चले और लोगों को अपने घरों पर तिरंगा फहराने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया। रैली शाम छह बजे शुरू हुई और देर शाम तक चली। पार्टी नेताओं ने पदयात्रा के दौरान पदयात्रियों और अन्य लोगों का अभिवादन किया।
इस अवसर पर पार्टी अध्यक्ष ने कहा, "हम उत्साहपूर्वक इस अभियान का आयोजन कर रहे हैं, जो स्वतंत्रता दिवस तक चलेगा। इससे लोगों को आगे आकर झंडा फहराने के लिए प्रोत्साहन मिलेगा। इससे लोगों में देशभक्ति की भावना पैदा होगी। आज चंडीगढ़ के बीचों-बीच तिरंगा लहराता देख लोग खुश हुए।"
पार्टी के वरिष्ठ नेता सौदान सिंह ने शहर भाजपा को चल रहे अभियान के लिए बधाई दी और उन्हें इस गति को बनाए रखने के लिए प्रेरित किया। राज्यसभा सदस्य सतनाम सिंह संधू ने कहा कि राष्ट्र निर्माण में ऐसे आयोजनों का बहुत महत्व है। संजय टंडन ने कहा कि पार्टी इस अभियान को सफल बनाने में सबसे आगे रही है।
पार्टी ने 70 हजार तिरंगे फहराने की योजना बनाई थी। यह अभियान 11 अगस्त से शुरू हुआ और भाजपा कार्यकर्ता घर-घर जाकर तिरंगे बांट रहे हैं। पार्टी महासचिव अमित जिंदल इस अभियान के संयोजक हैं। जबकि उपाध्यक्ष शक्ति देवशाली और देवेंद्र सिंह बबला सह-संयोजक हैं।
उन्होंने महासचिव हुकम चंद और अन्य नेताओं के साथ पदयात्रा में हिस्सा लिया। अमित जिंदल ने कहा कि उन्होंने कल एक और बड़े कार्यक्रम की योजना बनाई है।
