National BJP Leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal has challenged Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, urging him to declare MSP for 22 crops in Punjab, similar to what has been done by the Haryana government. In a press release issued here today, Grewal said that if CM Mann fails to take this step, it will become evident that he is more focused on politics rather than genuinely supporting farmers.
He criticized the Mann government, pointing out that despite making loud promises about procuring all 22 crops under MSP, the government has not yet taken action. Grewal accused the Punjab government of exploiting farmers for political gain, claiming that they have misled the farmers rather than helping them.
He further added that the Aam Aadmi Party has consistently encouraged protests and roadblocks, but now it's time for the government to take concrete steps by purchasing all crops at MSP. Grewal urged CM Mann to make a decision in the cabinet and introduce legislation in the assembly to ensure MSP for all 22 crops.
