An Intellectuals’ Meet was organised at BJP, Chandigarh HeadOffice Kamlam today. Union Budget 2024 was the focus of the meet.Member of Parliament Anurag Thakur was the keynote speaker. Themeeting was attended by a large number of intellectuals of the city from variouswalks of life such as Professionals, Industrialists, traders, CAs, Advocates, and Academicians among others.
Welcoming the guests, President BJP Chandigarh JatinderMalhotra congratulated the Prime Minister on a historic third consecutive termas the Prime Minister. He said that this had become possible due to thepeople-friendly functioning of the government and its astute economic policies which have propelled Indafrom a fragile economy to the third largest economy of the world.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Tandon, Co-in charge HimachalPradesh for BJP, gave an analysis of the budget from an impact perspective,indicating that the whole process has been transformative for the country. Anurag Thakur complemented the Modi government for a verybalanced budget that touched all sections of society.
He said that the size of the budget had increased almostthree times in ten years. In the Capital expenditure too there is a huge leapfrom 5 lakh crores, to 7 lakh crores, to 10 lakh crores, and now 11.11 lakhcrores. When the capital expenditure of the government is so much, it will havea cascading impact.
It will also lead to a hike in private sector investment,job creation will happen, employment opportunities will increase and our basicstructure will be strengthened. Our fiscal deficit is now targeted to go downfrom 4.9% to 4.5%. Our foreign exchange reserves have increased from 320billion dollars in 2014 to 666 million dollars.
He said that youth was a special focus of the government asthey are the future of the country. Not only a New Education Policy but also aministry for skilling was operational to increase the employability of theyouth. This time in the budget, a provision of about 1.48 lakh crores has beenmade for education, employment, and skilling.
He said that today while the economies of the world areslowing down, India's economy was the fastest growing economy of the world,even last year and our endeavour is that India should be the fastest growingeconomy in the world for the next 10 years. Our steps are in this direction,that is why the fiscal deficit is also being continuously reduced, and capitalexpenditure is being increased for education, employment, industrial cells,etc.
New opportunities are being created. He said that respecting cooperative federalism 1.5 lakhcrores is being given to the states, for the next fifty years without interest. Thisis to ensure targeted development of the state and hence of the whole nation.
A huge budget of 2.66 lakh crores has been given to the RuralDevelopment Ministry for the development of rural areas. Women are another keyfocus area. There is a huge contribution of women's power in every sector. Onecrore lakhpati didis have been created through self-help groups.
Our target isto make three crore lakhpati didis. Farmers being a key focus area, the BJP government, in line with the Swaminathan Commission report, is committed to giving 50% over the cost ofproduction to the farmers and has been doing so with continuously increasingMSPs.
The Modi government in ten years has purchased crops on MSP worth 18.40lakh crores against a figure of 5.5 lakh crores during the UPA regime.Abolition of the Angel tax created by UPA, promoting Startups,assigning funds for the space sector as well as Research & Innovation were allfocused towards making India the third largest and a developed economy.

चंडीगढ़ भाजपा मुख्यालय कमलम में बुद्धिजीवियों की बैठक आयोजित की गई। बैठक का मुख्य विषय केंद्रीय बजट 2024 था। मुख्य वक्ता सांसद अनुराग ठाकुर रहे। बैठक में शहर के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों जैसे पेशेवर, उद्योगपति, व्यापारी, सीए, अधिवक्ता और शिक्षाविदों सहित बड़ी संख्या में बुद्धिजीवियों ने भाग लिया।
सांसद अनुराग ठाकुर का स्वागत करते हुए चंडीगढ़ भाजपा अध्यक्ष जतिंदर मल्होत्रा ने प्रधानमंत्री को लगातार तीसरी बार प्रधानमंत्री बनने पर बधाई दी। उन्होंने कहा कि यह सरकार के जन-हितैषी कामकाज और आर्थिक नीतियों के कारण संभव हुआ है, जिसने भारत को एक कमजोर अर्थव्यवस्था से दुनिया की तीसरी सबसे बड़ी अर्थव्यवस्था में बदल दिया है।
इस अवसर पर बोलते हुए हिमाचल प्रदेश भाजपा के सह-प्रभारी संजय टंडन ने बजट का प्रभाव के दृष्टिकोण से विश्लेषण किया, जो दर्शाता है कि पूरी प्रक्रिया देश के लिए परिवर्तनकारी रही है। अनुराग ठाकुर ने मोदी सरकार की तारीफ करते हुए कहा कि यह बजट समाज के सभी वर्गों को छूता है और यह बहुत संतुलित है।
उन्होंने कहा कि दस साल में बजट का आकार लगभग तीन गुना बढ़ गया है। पूंजीगत व्यय में भी 5 लाख करोड़ से 7 लाख करोड़, 10 लाख करोड़ और अब 11.11 लाख करोड़ की बड़ी छलांग है। जब सरकार का पूंजीगत व्यय इतना अधिक होगा तो इसका व्यापक असर होगा।
इससे निजी क्षेत्र में निवेश बढ़ेगा, रोजगार सृजन होगा, रोजगार के अवसर बढ़ेंगे और हमारा बुनियादी ढांचा मजबूत होगा। हमारा राजकोषीय घाटा अब 4.9% से घटकर 4.5% पर आने का लक्ष्य है। हमारा विदेशी मुद्रा भंडार 2014 के 320 बिलियन डॉलर से बढ़कर 666 मिलियन डॉलर हो गया है।
उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार युवाओं पर विशेष ध्यान दे रही है क्योंकि वे देश का भविष्य हैं। युवाओं की रोजगार क्षमता बढ़ाने के लिए न केवल नई शिक्षा नीति बल्कि कौशल विकास मंत्रालय भी क्रियाशील है। इस बार बजट में शिक्षा, रोजगार और कौशल विकास के लिए करीब 1.48 लाख करोड़ रुपए का प्रावधान किया गया है।
उन्होंने कहा कि आज जब दुनिया की अर्थव्यवस्थाएं धीमी पड़ रही हैं, भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था पिछले साल भी दुनिया की सबसे तेजी से बढ़ने वाली अर्थव्यवस्था थी और हमारा प्रयास है कि अगले 10 साल तक भारत दुनिया की सबसे तेजी से बढ़ने वाली अर्थव्यवस्था रहे। हमारे कदम इसी दिशा में हैं, इसीलिए राजकोषीय घाटे को भी लगातार कम किया जा रहा है और शिक्षा, रोजगार, औद्योगिक प्रकोष्ठों आदि के लिए पूंजीगत व्यय को बढ़ाया जा रहा है।
नए अवसर पैदा किए जा रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि सहकारी संघवाद का सम्मान करते हुए राज्यों को अगले पचास साल के लिए बिना ब्याज के 1.5 लाख करोड़ रुपए दिए जा रहे हैं। इससे राज्य और पूरे देश का लक्षित विकास सुनिश्चित होगा। ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों के विकास के लिए ग्रामीण विकास मंत्रालय को 2.66 लाख करोड़ रुपए का भारी भरकम बजट दिया गया है। म
हिलाओं पर भी विशेष ध्यान दिया जा रहा है। हर क्षेत्र में महिला शक्ति का बहुत बड़ा योगदान है। स्वयं सहायता समूहों के माध्यम से एक करोड़ लखपति दीदियां बनाई गई हैं, हमारा लक्ष्य तीन करोड़ लखपति दीदियां बनाना है। किसानों पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जा रहा है। स्वामीनाथन आयोग की रिपोर्ट के अनुरूप भाजपा सरकार किसानों को उत्पादन लागत का 50 प्रतिशत देने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है और एमएसपी में लगातार वृद्धि कर रही है।
मोदी सरकार ने दस वर्षों में 18.40 लाख करोड़ रुपये की एमएसपी पर फसलें खरीदी हैं, जबकि यूपीए सरकार के समय यह आंकड़ा 5.5 लाख करोड़ रुपये था। यूपीए द्वारा लगाए गए एंजल टैक्स को समाप्त करना, स्टार्टअप को बढ़ावा देना, अंतरिक्ष क्षेत्र के लिए भी धन आवंटित करना और अनुसंधान एवं नवाचार सभी भारत को तीसरी सबसे बड़ी और विकसित अर्थव्यवस्था बनाने पर केंद्रित थे।
पार्टी के मुख्य प्रवक्ता डॉ. धरिंदर तायल ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि पूंजीगत व्यय में कई गुना वृद्धि, राजकोषीय घाटे में कमी और बढ़ते भंडार सभी संकेत देते हैं कि पिछली सरकारों में धन की हेराफेरी पूरी तरह से बंद हो गई है और अब सारा पैसा देश के कल्याण और विकास के लिए उपलब्ध है। इस अवसर पर पार्टी के प्रदेश महासचिव अमित जिंदल व हुकम चंद, अवि भसीन, राकेश भल्ला व विशाल पुरी संजीव राणा प्रदेश सचिव भी उपस्थित थे ।
