BJP State Vice President Dr. Subhash Sharma visited Maharaja Ajj Sarovar near Kharar today. Observing the state of the Sarovar, he expressed his concern over the accumulation of dirty water, which has resulted in a foul odor. He remarked that the Sarovar holds significant religious importance, yet its current condition is deplorable.
Dr. Sharma was deeply saddened by the state of the Sarovar. He highlighted that in a country where Lord Ram is venerated, such neglect towards a historical site associated with him is unacceptable. Despite funding from the Punjab government for the Sarovar's construction, sewage water is being dumped into it through pipes.

Describing the situation as both shameful and distressing, Dr. Sharma pointed out that this area falls under the constituency of state tourism minister Anmol Gagan Mann, who boasts about developing tourism across the nation. However, the historical tourism site in her own constituency is in a dire state, with sewage water being funneled into it.
Dr. Sharma strongly condemned the neglect and warned the administration of consequences. He stated that he would meet with the Deputy Commissioner to address the issue of stopping the sewage water inflow and cleaning the Sarovar, emphasizing the site's religious significance and the emotional attachment of thousands of people.

Addressing the minister, Dr. Sharma urged her to wake up from her slumber and address the issue. He criticized the administration and the minister for their inaction and warned that the BJP would resort to protests if the situation remained unchanged. He also mentioned his meeting with Union Minister Gajendra Shekhawat, requesting that the central government adopt the historical site under the PRASAD scheme and provide necessary funds.
Dr. Sharma emphasized that if the municipal corporation continues to dump sewage water, the central government's efforts would be in vain. He questioned the responsibility of those in power in Punjab and suggested that if they are incapable, they should admit it. He announced his intention to meet the Deputy Commissioner soon and threatened to stage a protest outside Minister Anmol Gagan Mann's residence if the issue is not resolved.
