Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi organized a 7-day Theater Festival-2024 from June 24 to June 30, 2024 at Tagore Theatre. Today was the last day of the festival and on this occasion, Shri Banwarilal Purohit, Governor Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh was the chief guest held at Tagore Theatre Sector 18.
The special guests included Shri Rajeev Verma, Advisor to the Administrator, Shri Hari Kalikat, Secretary Culture, UT Chandigarh and Shri Nitish Singla, Director Culture, UT Chandigarh were also present. Sh. Sudesh Sharma, President of Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Academy welcomed the chief guest and special guests.
In his speech, Sh. Banwarilal Purohit congratulated the officials of the Academy and all the artists for this successful event. He felicitated the local artistes with Academy Awards. He said that this is an excellent initiative and the entire academy deserves appreciation for this initiative.
Sh. Purohit, said that art and literature have been integral part of our culture since ancient times. The likes of Kalidasa are an example of it. Governor fondly shared that he too had participated in theatre plays during his younger days which left a positive and everlasting impact on him as a child. He said that through plays, theatre and nukkad nataks, we should fight the evils of the society.
The chief guest also released the logo of the Academy Awards and the first souvenir issued by the Academy. Academy President Sudesh Sharma said that the Academy is also going to organize one month drama workshops in 23 government schools of Chandigarh city from next month, the main feature of which is that in those workshops children will be taught the school curriculum of Hindi.
A drama will be prepared on any one lesson from English, Mathematics, Science, History etc. This will not only help children in building their character through drama but will also help them remember a lesson from their curriculum in an interesting way.
The name of the play that was staged on this occasion was "The First Teacher". This play was presented by Alankar Theater Group, Chandigarh. This play is based on the book written by Russian writer 'Chingiz Aitmatov' in the year 1962 and it was directed by Chakresh Kumar.
The play connects the story of a city in Russia with the current situation of "Mainpuri", a city in Uttar Pradesh, India. The play is about the struggle of a teacher sent by a government organization to a village to teach the ignorant masses. But the villagers refuse to support him and do not even allow their children to go to school.
There is a 14 year old orphan girl 'Sangita', who becomes fascinated by the teacher and his knowledge. The girl lives with her uncle and aunt and becomes a victim of their backward mentality, due to which she marries an old man with a lot of money.
The teacher fights all odds to save him from problems. Then he sends the girl to the city to study so that she can become successful when she grows up. This play gives a strong message of women empowerment, girl education and fight against the ignorance, backward mentality of the society which still exists in many places of our country.
The artists present on the stage were – Chakresh Kumar, Chandra Prakash, Ritika Thakur, Ramneesh Choudhary, Angelica Piplani, Shivam Kamboj, Jyoti Sania, Divyanshi Arora, Harman, Janak Raj Dhull, Mridul K Gautam, Lucky, Charanjit Singh Rathod, Snedden, Lakhwinder, Neha, Komal Sharma and Ankush.
चंडीगढ़ संगीत नाटक अकादमी ने 7 दिवसीय थिएटर फेस्टिवल-2024 का आयोजन किया

चंडीगढ़ संगीत नाटक अकादमी द्वारा 24 जून से 30 जून, 2024 तक टैगोर थिएटर में सीएसएनए 7-दिवसीय थिएटर फेस्टिवल-2024 का आयोजन किया गया। आज फेस्टिवल का आखिरी दिवस था | इस अवसर पर मुख्य अतिथि के तौर पर श्री बनवारीलाल पुरोहित, पंजाब राज्य के राज्यपाल एवं चंडीगढ़ के प्रशासक उपस्थित थे।
विशिष्ट अतिथियों के रूप में श्री राजीव वर्मा, प्रशासक के सलाहकार; श्री हरी कलीकट, सचिव सांस्कृतिक विभाग, चंडीगढ़ यू.टी.; एवं श्री नितीश सिंगला, निदेशक, सांस्कृतिक विभाग, चंडीगढ़ यू.टी. उपस्थित थे | चंडीगढ़ संगीत नाटक अकादमी के अध्यक्ष सुदेश शर्मा ने मुख्य अतिथि एवं विशिष्ट अतिथियों का स्वागत किया ।
अपने संभाषण में महामहिम ने अकादमी के पदाधिकारियों एवं सभी कलाकारों को इस सफल आयोजन की शुभकामनाएं दी | उन्होंने बताया कि चंडीगढ़ संगीत नाटक अकादमी पहली बार स्थानीय कलाकारों को अकादमी पुरस्कार से सम्मानित करने जा रही है | उन्होंने कहा कि यह एक बेहतरीन पहल है और इस पहल के लिए पूरी अकादमी बधाई की पात्र है।
महामहिम ने इस अवसर पर अकादमी पुरस्कारों के प्रतीक चिन्ह तथा अकादमी द्वारा जारी प्रथम स्मारिका का भी विमोचन किया | मुख्य अतिथि श्री. पुरोहित ने कहा कि कला और साहित्य प्राचीन काल से ही हमारी संस्कृति का अभिन्न अंग रहे हैं। कालिदास जैसे लोग इसका उदाहरण हैं। राज्यपाल ने स्नेहपूर्वक साझा किया कि उन्होंने भी अपने छोटे दिनों के दौरान थिएटर नाटकों में भाग लिया था, जिसने बचपन में उन पर सकारात्मक और स्थायी प्रभाव छोड़ा था।
उन्होंने कहा कि हमें नाटक, थिएटर और नुक्कड़ नाटक के माध्यम से समाज की बुराइयों से लड़ना चाहिए। इस अवसर पर अकादमी के अध्यक्ष सुदेश शर्मा ने बताया कि अकादमी द्वारा अगले महीने से चंडीगढ़ शहर के 23 सरकारी स्कूलों में एक महीने की नाट्य कार्यशालाओं का भी आयोजन किया जाने वाला है जिसकी प्रमुख विशेषता यह है कि उन कार्यशालाओं में बच्चों के स्कूल पाद्यक्रम हिन्दी, अंग्रेज़ी, गणित, विज्ञान, इतिहास आदि से किसी एक पाठ को लेकर नाटक तैयार किया जाएगा ।
इससे बच्चों में नाटक के माध्यम से अपने चरित्र निर्माण में तो मदद मिलेगी और उनके पाठ्यक्रम का एक पाठ भी रोचक तरीके से उन्हें याद हो जायेगा | इस अवसर पर जिस नाटक का मंचन किया गया उसका नाम था " द फर्स्ट टीचर" | इस नाटक को अलंकार थिएटर ग्रुप, चंडीगढ़ ने प्रस्तुत किया | यह नाटक रूसी लेखक 'चिंगिज़ एत्मातोव' द्वारा वर्ष 1962 में लिखी गई पुस्तक पर आधारित है तथा इसका निर्देशन चक्रेश कुमार ने किया।
नाटक में रूस के एक शहर की कहानी को भारत के उत्तर प्रदेश के एक शहर "मैनपुरी" की वर्तमान स्थिति से जोड़ा है । यह नाटक सरकारी संगठन द्वारा अज्ञानी जनता को पढ़ाने के लिए एक गाँव में भेजे गए एक शिक्षक के संघर्ष के बारे में है । लेकिन गांव वाले उसका सहयोग करने से इनकार कर देते हैं और अपने बच्चों को स्कूल भी नहीं जाने देते | एक 14 साल की अनाथ लड़की 'संगीता' है, जो शिक्षक और उनके ज्ञान से मोहित हो जाती है ।
लड़की अपने चाचा-चाची के साथ रहती है और उनकी पिछड़ी मानसिकता का शिकार हो जाती है, जिसके चलते वह ढेर सारे पैसे लेकर एक बूढ़े आदमी से शादी कर लेती है । शिक्षक उसे समस्याओं से बचाने के लिए सभी बाधाओं से लड़ता है । फिर वह लड़की को पढ़ाई के लिए शहर भेजता है ताकि वह बड़ी होने पर सफल हो सके ।
यह नाटक महिला सशक्तिकरण, बालिका शिक्षा और समाज की अज्ञानता, पिछड़ी मानसिकता के खिलाफ लड़ाई का एक मजबूत संदेश देता है जो अभी भी हमारे देश के कई स्थानों पर मौजूद है । मंच पर उपस्थित कलाकार थे –चक्रेश कुमार, चंद्र प्रकाश, रीतिका ठाकुर, रमनीश चौधरी, एंजेलिका पिपलानी, शिवम काम्बोज, ज्योति सानिया, दिव्यांशी अरोड़ा, हरमन, जनक राज ढुल, मृदुल के गौतम, भाग्यशाली, चरणजीत सिंह राठौड़, स्नैडेन, लखविंदर, नेहा, कोमल शर्मा एवं अंकुश ।
