Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh said that Devarshi Narad was an ideal proponent of journalism. Devarshi Narad analyzed events and presented the truth positively from different perspectives. From independence to modern times, journalism has played a significant role, CM added.
Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh was speaking as the chief guest at the 9th State Level Journalist Award Ceremony organised on the occasion of Devarshi Narad Jayanti organized by the Vishwa Samwad Kendra Haryana in Panchkula. Upon his arrival, the president of Haryana Vishwa Samvad Kendra, Dr. Markandey Ahuja, Secretary Rajesh, and Dr. Rajesh Chauhan welcomed him with bouquets.
Congratulating journalists on Devarshi Narad Jayanti, the Chief Minister said that from ancient times, it has been embedded in our culture and traditions that facts should always be true and accurate. Devarshi Narad practiced journalism based on truth.
Although the form of journalism has changed over time, the path of truth remains the same. Devarshi Narad set new standards in journalism by analyzing events in adverse circumstances.Speaking to the media, Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh said that the double engine government has implemented welfare schemes on the ground in the state.
The government is working for the welfare of the people. The Chief Minister said that the BJP will form the government for the third time in the upcoming assembly elections.On this occasion, a large number of media persons were present.
Significant Contribution of Journalism in the Freedom Struggle
Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh said that journalism in the country is a mission. Journalism and journalists played a significant role in the freedom struggle. The British rulers tried to suppress journalists, imposing fines and punishments.
However, the ambitious journalists did not lose courage and continued the struggle for independence. Dev Rishi Narad is an inspirational figure who practiced journalism to keep culture and values alive in society.
Haryana Government is well-wisher of Journalists
Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh said that the Haryana government is supportive of journalists. Along with providing pensions, the government is offering cover insurance and free travel of 4,000 kms in Haryana Roadways buses for journalists.
The government has launched several schemes for the upliftment of journalists. The most important among these is the Media Person Pension Scheme which has now been increased to Rs. 15,000.

हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री श्री नायब सिंह ने कहा कि देवर्षि नारद आदर्श पत्रकारिता के संवाहक थे। देवर्षि नारद घटनाओं का विश्लेषण करके अलग-अलग दृष्टिकोण के साथ सत्यता को सकारात्मक तौर पर प्रस्तुत करते थे। आजादी से लेकर आज आधुनिकता के दौर में पत्रकारिता का अहम योगदान रहा है।
मुख्यमंत्री श्री नायब सिंह पंचकूला में विश्व संवाद केंद्र हरियाणा की ओर से देवर्षि नारद जयंती के अवसर पर आयोजित 9वें राज्य स्तरीय पत्रकार सम्मान समारोह में बतौर मुख्यातिथि बोल रहे थे। समारोह में पहुंचने पर हरियाणा विश्व संवाद केंद्र के अध्यक्ष डॉ. मार्कण्डेय आहूजा, सचिव राजेश और डॉ.राजेश चौहान ने पुष्प गुच्छ भेंट कर स्वागत किया।
मुख्यमंत्री ने देवर्षि नारद जयंती की पत्रकारों को बधाई देते हुए कहा कि पत्रकारिता का श्रेय देवर्षि नारद जी को जाता है उस दौर से लेकर आज के इस आधुनिक दौर में पत्रकारिता ने अनेक आयाम तय किये हैं। समय बदलने के साथ पत्रकारिता के स्वरूप में बदलाव तो आया है, लेकिन सत्यता का पथ अभी भी वही है।
मीडिया से बातचीत करते हुए मुख्यमंत्री श्री नायब सिंह ने कहा कि डबल इंजन की सरकार ने प्रदेश में कल्याणकारी योजनाओं को धरातल पर उतारा है। सरकार लोगों के हित के लिए काम कर रही है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि आगामी विधानसभा चुनावों में भाजपा तीसरी बार सरकार बनाएगी।
आजादी की लड़ाई में पत्रकारिता का अहम योगदान
मुख्यमंत्री नायब सिंह ने कहा कि देश में पत्रकारिता मिशन के रूप में है। आजादी की लड़ाई में पत्रकारिता और पत्रकारों की अहम भूमिका रही है। ब्रिटिश शासकों ने पत्रकारों को दबाने की कोशिश की और सजा, जुर्माना तक भी लगाया गया। मगर स्वतंत्रता के दीवाने पत्रकारों ने हिम्मत नहीं हारी और आजादी की अलख जारी रखी।
पत्रकारों की हितैषी है हरियाणा सरकार
मुख्यमंत्री श्री नायब सिंह ने कहा कि हरियाणा सरकार पत्रकारों की हितैषी है। पत्रकारों को पेंशन देने के साथ बीमा सुरक्षा कवर और हरियाणा रोडवेज की बसों में चार हजार किलोमीटर मुफ्त यात्रा की सुविधा दी जा रही है।मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि सरकार की ओर से पत्रकार उत्थान को लेकर अनेक योजनाएं शुरू की गई हैं।
इनमें सबसे महत्वपूर्ण पत्रकार सम्मान पेंशन योजना है जिसके तहत पत्रकारों को 15,000 रुपये मासिक पेंशन दी जा रही है। 10 लाख रुपये की ग्रुप इंश्योरेंस स्कीम का प्रीमियम भी सरकार खुद वहन कर रही है। इस अवसर पर प्रदेश के कोने-कोने से आये पत्रकार बड़ी संख्या में मौजूद रहे।
