DC Kulgam inspects ongoing JJM Water Supply schemes

Instructs Ex. Engineer Jal Shakti to ensure swift completion of all works to ensure timely benefits to the residents

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan Thursday conducted an extensive tour of various areas to inspect and assess the status of various ongoing Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) water supply schemes in the district.

Among the projects, the DC visited were WSS Bugam, this project is under execution with an estimated cost of 8.27crore, Kanjikulla Water Supply Scheme with a cost of 3.32 crore and Gasraroo Lift Scheme with a cost 3.12 crore, project focuses on ensuring efficient water lifting mechanisms to benefit the Gasraroo area.

During the visit, DC instructed the Executive Engineer of Jal Shakti to expedite the completion of all ongoing works. He emphasized the importance of swift action to ensure that the benefits of these projects reach the residents without any delays.

Athar highlighted the commitment of the district administration to provide safe and adequate drinking water to all households, in line with the goals of the Jal Jeevan Mission. Accompanying the DC were ADC Viqar Ahmed Giri, Executive Engineer, Navaz Ahmad; Tehsildar Kulgam and other officers.
