Haryana Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Wildlife, Sanjay Singh said that successful programs such as ‘'Har Gaon Pedon ki Chhaon', ‘Har ghar Haryali,’ and ‘Plantation Drive (Paudagiri)’ are being run to make the state more greener. In the same series, a new scheme will be implemented to plant a tree in the name of mothers (Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam) to honor them by planting trees.
He emphasized that trees are crucial in protecting the environment from pollution and providing oxygen. Therefore, we should plant as many trees as possible. With the monsoon season approaching, the Forest Department will raise awareness among the public to plant maximum saplings to make environment more clean and green and to achieve the department's plantation targets.
Along with planting trees, it is also essential to take care of them. Van Mitra will prove effective in accomplishing the plantation campaign, which will make the state more greener. So far, 27,000 people have registered on the portal as Van Mitra.
Minister, Sh. Sanjay Singh was presiding over a review meeting of officers of forest department in his office at Haryana Civil Secretariat here today. He said that the cooperation of social and religious organizations would also be sought for tree plantation in the state.
Apart from this, schools and colleges will be involved in this drive. Similarly, people will be encouraged to adopt and take care of at least one plant.He mentioned that under the ‘Pranavayu Devta Pension Scheme’, there is a provision of an annual pension of Rs. 2500 for the special care of trees older than 75 years.
This scheme is proving to be quite beneficial for the proper care of old trees. He also informed that an ePaudhshala mobile app has been launched for the free distribution of plants from nurseries to facilitate people in obtaining plants easily.
Additional Chief Secretary, Sh. Anand Mohan Sharan, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Sh. Pankaj Goel, and other officials were also present in the meeting.

एक पेड़ मां के नाम से भी लगाया जाएगा-मंत्री

हरियाणा के वन एवं वन्य जीव राज्यमंत्री श्री संजय सिंह ने कहा कि प्रदेश को हरा-भरा करने के लिए हर गांव पेड़ों की छांव, हर घर हरियाली तथा पौधागिरी जैसी योजनाएं सफलतापूर्वक चलाई जा रही हैं। इसी कड़ी में एक पेड़ मां के नाम से भी योजना लागू की जाएगी, ताकि पेड़ लगाकर मां को सम्मान दिया जा सके।
उन्होंने कहा कि पर्यावरण को प्रदूषण से बचाने व आक्सीजन की पूर्ति करने के लिए पेड़ अहम हैं। इसलिए हमें ज्यादा से ज्यादा पेड़ लगाने चाहिए। अभी मानसून सीजन आने वाला है। इसी को ध्यान में रखते हुए प्रदेश में अधिक से अधिक लोगों को पेड़ लगाने के लिए वन विभाग की ओर से ही जागरूक किया जाएगा, ताकि विभाग का पौधरोपण का लक्ष्य पूरा हो सके।
पेड़ लगाने के साथ-साथ उसकी देखरेख करना भी जरूरी है। पौधरोपण के अभियान को सिरे चढ़ाने में वन मित्र कारगर साबित होंगे, इससे प्रदेश भी हरा-भरा होगा। प्रदेश में अभी तक वन मित्रों के लिए 27 हजार लोगों ने पोर्टल पर रजिस्ट्रेशन कराया है। मंत्री श्री संजय सिंह आज हरियाणा सिविल सचिवालय कार्यालय में वन विभाग के अधिकारियों के साथ समीक्षा बैठक की अध्यक्षता कर रहे थे।
उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश में पौधरोपण के लिए सामाजिक व धार्मिक संगठनों का भी सहयोग लिया जाएगा। स्कूल व कालेजों को भी पौधरोपण के अभियान से जोड़ा जाएगा। इसी तरह से लोगों को भी प्रेरित किया जाएगा कि वे कम से कम एक पौधा गोद लेकर उसकी देखरेख करें। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश में 75 साल से अधिक आयु के वृक्षों की विशेष देखभाल के लिए प्राणवायु देवता पेंशन स्कीम के तहत 2500 रुपये प्रति वर्ष प्रति पेड़ पेंशन का प्रावधान है।
यह योजना पुराने पेड़ों की अच्छे से देखभाल के लिए काफी किफायती साबित हो रही है। उन्होंने बताया कि नर्सरी से पौधों के मुफ्त वितरण के लिए ई-पौधशाला मोबाइल एप शुरू किया गया है, ताकि लोगों को पौधे में सहूलियत मिल सके। बैठक में अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव श्री आनंद मोहन शरण, प्रधान मुख्य वन संरक्षक श्री पंकज गोयल व अधिकारी मौजूद रहे।
