The Exim Bank (Export-Import Bank of India) gave a detailed presentation to the Chief Minister on possible export strategy of Himachal Pradesh, here today. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that Himachal Pradesh has become a manufacturing hub for sectors including pharmaceuticals, textiles, light engineering goods, health, power, telecom and information technology.
The state exports have increased from Rs. 9,822.08 crore in 2019-20 to Rs. 17,543.49 crore in 2022-23 marking a rise of 62 percent with pharmaceuticals and textiles as the key sectors accounting for Rs. 80 percent of total exports. He said several efforts has been made in making investor friendly in the state and has been given various awards by the government of India.
In the export preparedness, the state ranks 15th overall and second among Himalayan states. The Chief Minister said a medical device park is being developed in Nalagarh of Solan district and a bulk drug park is coming up in Una district. He said incentives would be provided by the state government to the entrepreneurs for setting up industrial units in Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh industrial hub.
He thanked the Exim Bank team for its valuable suggestions to increase export and bridge the related gaps. Managing Director, Exim Bank, Harsha Bangani during her presentation assured the state government to finance various sectors.
Agriculture Minister Chander Kumar, PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh, Town and Country Planning Minister Rajesh Dharmani and Ayush Minister Yadvinder Goma, Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, Secretary to the Chief Minister Rakesh Kanwar and other senior officers were also present on this occasion.

एक्ज़िम बैंक (एक्सपोर्ट-इंपोर्ट बैंक ऑफ इंडिया) ने आज यहां मुख्यमंत्री ठाकुर सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू के समक्ष हिमाचल प्रदेश में संभावित निर्यात रणनीति के बारे में विस्तृत प्रस्तुति दी। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि हिमाचल प्रदेश फार्मास्युटिकल्स, टैक्सटाइल्स, लाइट इंजीनियरिंग, गुड्स, स्वास्थ्य, बिजली, दूरसंचार, सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी तथा अन्य क्षेत्रों के लिए विनिर्माण हब बन गया है।
उन्होंने कहा कि वर्ष 2019-20 से राज्य का निर्यात 9,822.08 करोड़ रुपये से बढ़कर वर्ष 2022-23 में 17,543.49 करोड़ रुपये हो गया है, जो 62 प्रतिशत वृद्धि को दर्शाता है। इमसें फार्मास्युटिकल्स और टैक्सटाईल प्रमुख क्षेत्र हैं, जिसका प्रदेश के कुल निर्यात में 80 प्रतिशत हिस्सा है। उन्होंने कहा कि हिमाचल प्रदेश को निवेश मित्र राज्य बनाने के लिए विभिन्न प्रयास किए गए हैं, जिसके लिए भारत सरकार द्वारा प्रदेश को विभिन्न पुरस्कारों से नवाजा गया है।
उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश का निर्यात क्षेत्र में सभी राज्यों में 15वां और हिमालयी राज्यों में दूसरा स्थान है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि सोलन जिला के नालागढ़ में मेडिकल डिवाईस पार्क और जिला ऊना में बल्क ड्रग पार्क की स्थापना की जा रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार बद्दी-बरोटीवाला-नालागढ़ औद्योगिक हब में औद्योगिक इकाइयां स्थापित करने लिए उद्यमियों को विभिन्न प्रोत्साहन प्रदान करेगी।
उन्होंने राज्य का निर्यात बढ़ाने और संबंधित कमियों में सुधार के लिए दिए गए मूल्यवान सुझावों के लिए एक्ज़िम बैंक का आभार व्यक्त किया। एक्ज़िम बैंक की प्रबन्ध निदेशक हर्षा बगनानी ने अपनी प्रस्तुति के दौरान राज्य सरकार को विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में वित्तीय पोषण का आश्वासन दिया।
कृषि मंत्री प्रो. चन्द्र कुमार, लोक निर्माण मंत्री विक्रमादित्य सिंह, नगर नियोजन मंत्री राजेश धर्माणी, आयुष मंत्री यादविंद्र गोमा, मुख्य सचिव प्रबोध सक्सेना, मुख्यमंत्री के सचिव राकेश कंवर और अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी भी इस अवसर पर उपस्थित थे।
