Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini announced that under the ‘Van Mitra’ Scheme, the recruitment of ‘Van Mitra’ will soon be conducted. These ‘Van Mitra’ will be given honorarium to take care of the plants. He directed the officers to regularly map the existing plants and those planted annually under the plantation campaign using drones.
If there is delay in extinguishing the fire on forest land, then accountability will be fixed from forest guards to senior officers, he added.The Chief Minister was presiding over a review meeting of the Forest and Wildlife Department in Chandigarh today.
On this occasion, he also released a brochure for the ‘Pran Vayu Devta Scheme’. The meeting was attended by the Minister of State for Environment, Forests, and Wildlife, Sh. Sanjay Singh.Presiding over the meeting, the Chief Minister stated that illegal cutting of trees from the forest areas will not be tolerated, and if any employee is found to be complicit, action will be taken against them.
He reviewed in detail the annual plantation drive conducted by the Forest Department during the monsoon season and directed that these plants be geo-tagged and their growth should be monitored for five years with the help of drones.
Expressing concern over forest fire incidents, Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh stated that such incidents not only kill wildlife but also cause damage worth crores of rupees in wood and contribute to pollution. He said that if there is unnecessary delay in responding to a fire incident, officers from forest guards to district-level officers will be held accountable.
He directed the officers to ensure arrangements for supplying water from canals or tube wells to national parks like Kalesar, Sultanpur, and other dense forests so that this water can be used by wildlife during extreme heat and to aid in extinguishing fires.
The Chief Minister was informed that a budget of Rs. 150 crore has been allocated for the plantation drive for the year 2024-25, while Rs. 10 crore will be spent on herbal parks. The Chief Minister was also informed that under the "Pran Vayu Devta" scheme, the state government plans to provide an annual pension of Rs. 2,750 to those who take care of trees over 75 years old. So far, 3,819 such trees have been identified under this scheme.
Also present on the occasion were the Additional Chief Secretary of the Environment, Forest, and Wildlife Department, Sh. Anand Mohan Sharan, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Agrawal and Chief Minister's Political Advisor, Sh. Bharat Bhushan Bharti, along with other senior officers from the department.

पौधों की ड्रोन से नियमित मैपिंग के दिए निर्देश, आग बुझाने में देरी पर नपेंगे फॉरेस्ट -गॉर्ड से लेकर उच्चाधिकारी तक

हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री श्री नायब सिंह ने बताया कि जल्द ही वन-मित्र स्कीम के तहत वन-मित्रों की भर्ती की जाएगी जिनको पौधों की देखभाल करने के लिए मानदेय दिया जाएगा। उन्होंने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि वन विभाग द्वारा वन -क्षेत्र में पहले से लगे हुए तथा हर वर्ष पौधारोपण अभियान के तहत लगाए जाने वाले पौधों की ड्रोन से नियमित मैपिंग की जाए। वन भूमि पर आग लगने पर बुझाने में देरी होने पर फोरेस्ट -गॉर्ड से लेकर उच्चाधिकारी तक की जिम्मेदारी तय की जाएगी।
मुख्यमंत्री आज चंडीगढ़ में वन एवं वन्य जीव विभाग की समीक्षा बैठक की अध्यक्षता कर रहे थे। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने " प्राण वायु देवता स्कीम " का ब्रॉशर का विमोचन भी किया। बैठक में पर्यावरण , वन एवं वन्य जीव राज्यमंत्री श्री संजय सिंह भी उपस्थित थे। मुख्यमंत्री ने बैठक की अध्यक्षता करते हुए कहा कि वन -क्षेत्र से अवैध कटाई को कतई सहन नहीं किया जाएगा , अगर इसमें किसी कर्मचारी की सहभागिता पाई गई तो उसके खिलाफ कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
उन्होंने प्रति वर्ष वन विभाग द्वारा बरसात के मौसम में चलाए जाने वाले वृक्षारोपण अभियान की विस्तार से समीक्षा की और कहा कि इन पौधों की जियो -टैगिंग की जाए तथा ड्रोन की मदद से पांच साल तक उनकी ग्रोथ पर नज़र रखी जाए। मुख्यमंत्री श्री नायब सिंह ने जंगलों में होने वाली आगजनी की घटनाओं पर चिंता जाहिर करते हुए कहा कि ऐसी घटनाओं से जीव जंतु तो मरते ही हैं , करोड़ों रूपये की लकड़ी का नुकसान होता है और प्रदूषण भी फैलता है।
उन्होंने कहा कि अगर आगजनी की घटना होने पर आग बुझाने में अनावश्यक देरी हुई तो वन विभाग के फारेस्ट गॉर्ड से लेकर जिला स्तर तक के अधिकारी नपेंगे। उन्होंने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि कलेसर , सुल्तानपुर जैसे नेशनल पार्क और अन्य गहरे जंगलों में नहरों या ट्यूबवैलों से पानी पहुँचाने की व्यवस्था की जाए ताकि ज्यादा गर्मी में वन्य जीवों के लिए यह पानी पीने के काम आ सके और इससे आगजनी की घटना होने पर आग बुझाने में सहयोग मिल सकेगा।
मुख्यमंत्री को जानकारी दी गई कि इस वर्ष 2024 -25 में 150 करोड़ रुपए का बजट पौधारोपण के लिए आवंटित किया गया है जबकि हर्बल पार्क के लिए 10 करोड़ खर्च किये जाएंगे।मुख्यमंत्री को अवगत करवाया गया कि 75 वर्ष से अधिक उम्र के स्वस्थ पेड़ों की देखभाल करने वालों को राज्य सरकार द्वारा "प्राण वायु देवता" स्कीम के तहत 2750 रूपये प्रति वर्ष पेंशन देने की योजना चलाई गई है। इस योजना के तहत अभी तक 3819 पौधों की पहचान की गई है।
इस अवसर पर पर्यावरण , वन एवं वन्य जीव विभाग के अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव श्री आनंद मोहन शरण, मुख्यमंत्री के अतिरिक्त प्रधान सचिव डॉ अमित अग्रवाल, मुख्यमंत्री के राजनीतिक सलाहकार श्री भारत भूषण भारती के अलावा विभाग के अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।
