IFFCO, in collaboration with GT Bharat and HDFC Bank Parivartan, proudly announced the successful completion of handing over 24 drones to women pilots in 10 districts under the PRIME MINISTER - MAHILA KISAN DRONE KENDRA (PMDK) scheme. Deputy Commissioner Mr Kulwant Singh handed over the drones to beneficiaries at his office today.
While giving this information, Kulwant Singh said that this pioneering partnership marked a significant milestone in agricultural innovation and women's empowerment in Punjab. The initiative has been transformative, with standout participants from various villages across Punjab's districts.
These women farmers, now skilled in operating agricultural drones, are poised to significantly boost crop yields, enhance agricultural efficiency, and ensure precise urea application. Demonstrating a strong commitment to empowering women in agriculture and promoting economic independence, the government has pledged to provide free drones to 15,000 women-led Self-Help Groups.
Sh. Kulwant Singh appreciated the initiative and encouraged the drone pilots for their significant steps forward. He assured the provision of any necessary support from the Administrative Department. A major highlight of this initiative was the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, which showcased the latest agricultural drones designed to meet farmers' needs.
These drones represent a significant step forward in modernizing agricultural practices and contributing to a sustainable and prosperous future in agriculture. During this function, Sh. Harmail Singh Sidhu, State Marketing Manager of IFFCO, Punjab, discussed new agricultural innovations, including agricultural drones and revolutionary Nano Fertilizers like Nano Urea and Nano DAP.
He emphasized the future of the fertilizer sector for food security and environmental safety, highlighting the advantages of drones over conventional sprayers, such as reduced water usage and time efficiency, with drones completing one acre in just 5 to 7 minutes. Additionally, he noted the livelihood opportunities drones provide to women farmers.
Smt. Sukhraj Kaur Deol, AO, Moga, motivated women farmers to engage passionately and encourage others to participate in various livelihood activities. Sh. Manpreet Singh, Manager, Grant Thornton, along with Consultants Santokh Singh, Navneet Singh, Sakshi Jain, and Sanchit Sharma of the Grant Thornton Team, Punjab, highlighted the main objective of the initiative: to empower women and create a positive impact on their social and economic conditions.

ਇਫਕੋ ਨੇ ਜੀ.ਟੀ.ਭਾਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਐਚ.ਡੀ.ਐਫ.ਸੀ. ਬੈਂਕ ਪਰਿਵਰਤਨ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ - ਮਹਿਲਾ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਡਰੋਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ (ਪੀ.ਐਮ.ਡੀ.ਕੇ.) ਸਕੀਮ ਤਹਿਤ 10 ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਪਾਇਲਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ 24 ਡਰੋਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਲਾਭਪਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਰੋਨ ਸੌਂਪੇ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਕੀਮ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਤੀ ਨਵੀਨਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਸਸ਼ਕਤੀਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਮੀਲ ਪੱਥਰ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਤਬਦੀਲੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਹ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਕਿਸਾਨ, ਜੋ ਹੁਣ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਡਰੋਨ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਪੁੰਨ ਹਨ, ਫਸਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੈਦਾਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਵਾਧਾ ਕਰਨ, ਖੇਤੀ ਕੁਸ਼ਲਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਰੀਆ ਦੀ ਸਹੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਸ਼ਕਤੀਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ 15,000 ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਵੈ-ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਡਰੋਨ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਸ੍ਰ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਡਰੋਨ ਪਾਇਲਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨਿਕ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਤਾ ਵਿਕਸ਼ਿਤ ਭਾਰਤ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਨਵੀਨਤਮ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਡਰੋਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਇਹ ਡਰੋਨ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਅਭਿਆਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਧੁਨਿਕੀਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਟਿਕਾਊ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ਹਾਲ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਕਦਮ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇਫਕੋ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਟੇਟ ਮਾਰਕੀਟਿੰਗ ਮੈਨੇਜਰ ਹਰਮੇਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਡਰੋਨਾਂ, ਨੈਨੋ ਯੂਰੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਨੈਨੋ ਡੀਏਪੀ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਕ੍ਰਾਂਤੀਕਾਰੀ ਨੈਨੋ ਖਾਦਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਕਾਢਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਭੋਜਨ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਖਾਦ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਸਪ੍ਰੇਅਰਾਂ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਘੱਟ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਕੁਸ਼ਲਤਾ, ਡਰੋਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਰਫ 5 ਤੋਂ 7 ਮਿੰਟਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਏਕੜ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਡਰੋਨ ਦੇ ਫਾਇਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਰੋਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਪਜੀਵਕਾ ਦੇ ਮੌਕਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਸੁਖਰਾਜ ਕੌਰ ਦਿਓਲ, ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਮੋਗਾ ਨੇ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਉੱਨਤੀ ਲਈ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੁੜਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਰੋਜ਼ੀ-ਰੋਟੀ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਮੈਨੇਜਰ, ਗ੍ਰਾਂਟ ਥਾਰਨਟਨ, ਕੰਸਲਟੈਂਟ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਸਿੰਘ, ਨਵਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਜੈਨ ਅਤੇ ਗ੍ਰਾਂਟ ਥਾਰਨਟਨ ਟੀਮ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸੰਚਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
