To encourage youth voters to vote for democracy on June 1, DC Aashika Jain led the “Youth Chalya Booth” awareness rally from DAC Complex, Mohali to Govt Girls Senior Secondary School, Sohana, Mohali on Thursday. Accompanying the participants attired in Green T-Shirts and Caps to promote Green Elections, the Deputy Commissioner said that the district has 19702 young voters in the age group of 18-19 and we are disseminating the message to vote on June 1 to be the proud voter of world’s largest democracy.
She said that the district has 812593 voters in total whom we are approaching in one and another way to make sure that the voter percentage crosses 80 per cent in the district. We have 825 Booth Level Officers in the district who have been sensitised to increase the voting percentage.
The Deputy Commissioner further said that the Booth Level Officers who will surpass the 70 per cent voter turnout target and those who will record an instead of 10 Percent in previous Lok Sabha elections on their respective booths would be given an extra incentive of Rs 5000 per head. She appealed to all the voters of the district to vote enthusiastically in the festival of democracy and make the district number one in polling percentage.

ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ 1 ਜੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਲਈ ਵੋਟ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ, ਡੀ ਸੀ ਆਸ਼ਿਕਾ ਜੈਨ ਨੇ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਡੀ ਏ ਸੀ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ, ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਗਰਲਜ਼ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ, ਸੋਹਾਣਾ, ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਤੱਕ "ਯੂਥ ਚਲਿਆ ਬੂਥ" ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਰੈਲੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ। ਗਰੀਨ ਟੀ-ਸ਼ਰਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਪਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਜੇ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗਰੀਨ ਇਲੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ 18-19 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ 19702 ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਵੋਟਰ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ 1 ਜੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਦੇ ਵੋਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟ ਪਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਲ 812593 ਵੋਟਰ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੋਟਰ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਸ਼ਤ 80 ਪ੍ਰਤੀਸ਼ਤ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ 825 ਬੂਥ ਲੈਵਲ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਸ਼ਤਤਾ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਕ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬੂਥ ਲੈਵਲ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ 70 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਮਤਦਾਤਾ ਟੀਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਬੂਥ ਲੈਵਲ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਪਿਛਲੀਆਂ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ 10 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਵਧੀਕ ਵੋਟ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੇ ਬੂਥਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਵਧਾਉਣਗੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ 5000 ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਵਾਧੂ ਪ੍ਰੋਤਸਾਹਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਦੇ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਵੋਟ ਪਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਸ਼ਤਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਨੰਬਰ ਇੱਕ ਬਣਾਉਣ।
