Patiala , 30 May 2024

AAP national convenor and Delhi's chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, on the last day of the campaign in Punjab, campaigned for AAP's Patiala candidate Dr Balbir Singh. Both the leaders appealed to the people that they must vote on June 1st.

Arvind Kejriwal said that there is record breaking heat right now but your vote is very important too. Addressing the gathering Mann said that there are some rumours, being spread by some newspaper whose owner squandered the money of our martyrs and is now facing charges for his corruption, that we will cancel ration cards.

CM said that this is an utter lie and a baseless rumour. They want to mislead people just before the elections. People should stay vigilant and not pay attention to such news. Mann said that no ration cards will be cancelled, indeed more ration cards will be issued to the people who don't have one right now.

Mann said that he cannot even think about stopping any facility of the common people. He said that no one will sleep on an empty stomach in Punjab. He said that the AAP government will distribute wheat and flour to the people as before and the people of Punjab will get top quality wheat.

Mann said that no one can accuse him or Arvind Kejriwal of doing corruption of even a single rupee. He said that he is giving government jobs, free electricity, building schools and hospitals and he even bought a thermal power plant for Punjab. Only anti-Punjab and corrupt forces are trying to mislead the people, they should stay cautious.

Mann said that they (other parties) will also distribute money for votes, "don't refuse that money", advised Mann. But even after taking money, vote only according to your own wish and for the bright future of your children. Mann urged the people to do their job just for these two days and promised that after June 1st everything will be his responsibility.

Mann also took a dig at the Captain family of Patiala and said that during the Mughal Empire, his family was with the Mughals, during British rule they joined the Britishers, during Akali government they were Akali and in the Congress regime they were in the Congress party, now there was the government of the BJP, so Captain Amarinder Singh and his family joined the BJP.

Mann said that they never sided with the people nor did they ever do anything for the common people. Mann thanked the people for joining the AAP road show in large numbers and said that the love and support of the people doesn't let him get tired.

He urged the people to vote for the AAP and elect the AAP candidate Dr Balbir Singh as their MP. He said that for Modi's rally, they brought paid people to show the crowd and later refused to pay the promised Rs 400 per person to those people. Mann also recited his famous kikli-2 which has gained significant popularity in his campaign during these elections.
