Union Minister Anurag Thakur emphasized the critical role of strong leadership in ensuring national security and fostering comprehensive development. He underscored the necessity of a stable government for holistic progress, cautioning against compromises in the country's security.

Thakur said while addressing a public rally at Sector-40 Dussehra Ground in support of BJP Chandigarh candidate for LS seat, Sanjay Tandon. Thakur urged voters to rally behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a third term.  He commended the support from the people of Himachal Pradesh for Tandon's candidacy.

Thakur highlighted the importance  of robust leadership, stating that it's indispensable for safeguarding the nation. He denounced Congress's  leniency towards Pakistan, pointing out that despite the party's long tenure, the Gandhi-Nehru family failed to initiate the Kartarpur Corridor, yet now advocates for opening the Wagah border, oblivious to the potential security risks of the step.

Thakur criticized Congress for its alleged inadequacies in handling security threats during its tenure, contrasting it with the robust responses under the Modi  government. He recalled instances such as the brutal attack on soldier Hemraj and the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, stating that a decisive approach against Pakistan sponsored terrorism was lacking until Modi's leadership.

Thakur accused Congress of seeking to abolish SC-ST and OBC reservations while eyeing citizens' property rights. He cautioned against Congress's alleged agenda of appeasement politics, saying that it aims to deprive citizens of their rights.

Thakur accused Congress of harboring anti-Sanatan sentiments, citing threats to the newly constructed Ram temple in Ayodhya. He rallied for support to BJP in order to  counter Congress's stance and ensure the continuity of Sanatan values.

Thakur criticized Congress's discourse on constitutional changes, pointing out their own history of 62 amendments during their tenure. He lauded Modi's leadership for elevating India's stature globally, citing economic advancements under his governance.

Thakur highlighted the positive outcomes following the revocation of Article 370 in Kashmir, citing a decrease in separatist activities and a surge in tourism. He emphasized the shift towards development and the decline in civilian casualties in the region.
