Punjab Congress president and party’s candidate from Ludhiana parliamentary constituency Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today asserted that the Congress will substantially improve upon the 2019 winning margin from here. Appealing to the people of Ludhiana to vote for the party, he said, the people here have always stood by the Congress, whosoever came and contested for the party from here.
He hoped that the trend will continue this time also with an improved margin.Warring was campaigning in the Gill assembly segment today. Later, he led an impressive roadshow in the Jawahar Nagar area of the city, where thousands of people joined him in the roadshow.He expressed confidence that the Congress, insisting on the party and not himself, will win Ludhiana this time by at least two lakh votes.
“Please note that I am insisting that it will be the Congress party and not me, as the individuals do not matter, it is the party that matters”, a modest Warring said, while clarifying that he was a humble soldier of the party deputed here to fight the battle, win it for the party and serve the people. The PCC president said, the Congress had got 3.83 lakh votes in 2019, while Simarjit Singh Bains, who stood second had polled 3.07 lakh votes.
“With Bains Sahab having joined the Congress and merged his Lok Insaf Party with the Congress, it makes the total of 6.90 lakh votes”, he pointed out, while expressing confidence that the Congress lead over its nearest rival this time will be more than 2 lakh votes. “Take it in writing from me”, he remarked.
Asserting that Ludhiana has always been a Congress stronghold, Warring said, it will further be strengthened in this election and all the misconceptions in the minds of certain people will be cleared within a week from now when votes will be counted and results will be out. He said that Ludhiana was like ‘mini-India’ consisting of all sorts of people belonging to different faiths and castes and even languages. He pointed out, there were people from different parts of the country living here who had retained their own culture and language.
That is what the Congress party has always believed in to encourage and support people preserve their identities while keeping everyone together”, he said, while remarking, “Ludhiana is an ideal example of unity in diversity, the Congress party has been fighting for”.

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜਾ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ 2019 ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟ ਪਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹਨ, ਚਾਹੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਲਈ ਚੋਣ ਲੜੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਸ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਰੁਝਾਨ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇਗਾ।
ਵੜਿੰਗ, ਗਿੱਲ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਜਵਾਹਰ ਨਗਰ ਇਲਾਕੇ 'ਚ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਰੋਡ ਸ਼ੋਅ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ 'ਚ ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਰੋਡ ਸ਼ੋਅ 'ਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ ਦੋ ਲੱਖ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਿੱਤੇਗੀ। ਵੜਿੰਗ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਨੋਟ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਜਿੱਤ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਮੇਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਮਾਇਨੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦਾ, ਇਹ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮਾਇਨੇ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ"।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਨਿਮਾਣੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਹਨ, ਇੱਥੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਲੜਨ, ਪਾਰਟੀ ਲਈ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਹਨ। ਸੂਬਾ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ 2019 ਵਿਚ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੂੰ 3.83 ਲੱਖ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਜਦਕਿ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੰਬਰ 'ਤੇ ਰਹੇ ਸਿਮਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੈਂਸ ਨੂੰ 3.07 ਲੱਖ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਬੈਂਸ ਸਾਬ ਦੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਲੋਕ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਕੁੱਲ 6.90 ਲੱਖ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਬਣਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।” ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਜਤਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੇੜਲੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਨਾਲੋਂ 2 ਲੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੀਡ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ।
ਵੜਿੰਗ ਨੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦਾ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਚੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤੀ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਣ ਤੇ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਐਲਾਨੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹਫ਼ਤੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਕੁੱਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋ ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ 'ਮਿੰਨੀ ਇੰਡੀਆ' ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਧਰਮਾਂ, ਜਾਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇੱਥੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਰਾਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਹੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ।" ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਅਨੇਕਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਏਕਤਾ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਤਮ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਲੜ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।"
वड़िंग ने 2019 में कांग्रेस की बढ़त में सुधार का भरोसा जताया
कहा: लुधियाना और कांग्रेस को अलग नहीं किया जा सकता

पंजाब कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष और लुधियाना संसदीय क्षेत्र से पार्टी के उम्मीदवार अमरिंदर सिंह राजा वड़िंग ने कहा है कि कांग्रेस यहां से 2019 में जीत के अंतर में काफी सुधार करेगी। लुधियाना के लोगों से पार्टी के लिए वोट करने की अपील करते हुए, उन्होंने कहा कि यहां के लोग हमेशा से कांग्रेस के साथ खड़े रहे हैं, फिर चाहे यहां से कोई भी पार्टी के लिए चुनाव लड़े। उन्होंने उम्मीद जताई कि इस बार भी यह रुझान बेहतर अंतर के साथ जारी रहेगा।
वड़िंग गिल विधानसभा क्षेत्र में प्रचार कर रहे थे। जिसके बाद उन्होंने शहर के जवाहर नगर इलाके में एक प्रभावशाली रोड शो का नेतृत्व किया, जहां हजारों लोग उनके साथ रोड शो में शामिल हुए। उन्होंने खुद पर नहीं, बल्कि पार्टी पर भरोसा जताया कि कांग्रेस इस बार लुधियाना में कम से कम दो लाख वोटों से जीत हासिल करेगी।
वड़िंग ने कहा, "कृपया ध्यान दें कि मैं इस बात पर जोर दे रहा हूं कि यह कांग्रेस पार्टी होगी और मेरी नहीं, क्योंकि व्यक्ति मायने नहीं रखता, यह पार्टी है जो मायने रखती है"। उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि वह पार्टी के एक विनम्र सिपाही हैं, जिन्हें यहां लड़ाई लड़ने, पार्टी के लिए इसे जीतने और लोगों की सेवा करने के लिए तैनात किया गया है।
प्रदेश कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष ने कहा कि कांग्रेस को 2019 में 3.83 लाख वोट मिले थे, जबकि दूसरे स्थान पर रहे सिमरजीत सिंह बैंस को 3.07 लाख वोट मिले थे। उन्होंने कहा, "बैंस साहब के कांग्रेस में शामिल होने और अपनी लोक इंसाफ पार्टी का कांग्रेस में विलय करने के बाद, यह कुल 6.90 लाख वोट बनते हैं।” उन्होंने विश्वास व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि इस बार कांग्रेस अपने निकटतम प्रतिद्वंद्वी पर 2 लाख से अधिक वोटों की बढ़त बनाएगी। इसे उनसे लिखित में लें।
वड़िंग ने जोर देते हुए कहा कि लुधियाना हमेशा से कांग्रेस का गढ़ रहा है। इस चुनाव में यह और मजबूत होगा व कुछ लोगों के मन में सभी गलतफहमियां हैं, वे वोटों की गिनती शुरू होने और नतीजे सामने आने के एक सप्ताह के भीतर दूर हो जाएंगी। उन्होंने कहा कि लुधियाना 'मिनी इंडिया' की तरह है, जिसमें विभिन्न धर्मों और जातियों और यहां तक कि भाषाओं से संबंधित सभी प्रकार के लोग रहते हैं।
उन्होंने बताया कि देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों से लोग यहां रहते हैं, जिन्होंने अपनी संस्कृति और भाषा को बरकरार रखा है। उन्होंने कहा, "कांग्रेस पार्टी हमेशा लोगों को अपनी पहचान बनाए रखने और सभी को एक साथ रखते हुए प्रोत्साहित करने और समर्थन करने में विश्वास करती है"। उन्होंने कहा, "लुधियाना विविधता में एकता का एक आदर्श उदाहरण है, जिसके लिए कांग्रेस पार्टी लड़ती रही है"।
