Congress candidate Vijay Inder Singla has pledged to make the four-lane road from Banga through Khuralgarh to Mata Naina Devi, beatification around Gurudwara Keshgarh Sahib and roads of Shri Anandpur Sahib constituency to be as beautiful as those in London and Paris.

He promised a complete overhaul of the highly deteriorated rural roads and laying out new road networks with a focus on maintaining roads connecting villages to cities. Additionally, efforts will be made to expedite ongoing surveys for new railway lines from Rahon (Nawanshahr) to Khanna and from Garhshankar to Shri Anandpur Sahib.

Addressing public gatherings in various locations including Sri Bunga Sahib, Bar Association, Sri Anandpur Sahib, Dher, Sukhsal, Brahmpur, and the main market in Nangal, Singla highlighted the urgent need to reduce the alarming number of road fatalities in Punjab, which sees over 5000 deaths annually due to road accidents, mostly caused by broken roads.

He emphasized the need to fix the approximately 800 accident black spots in Punjab on a priority basis.Singla stressed that a network of new roads would pave the way for development in the region.

He criticized the political motives and ignorance behind the neglect of road construction and promised to improve connectivity from villages to cities, which would also promote village tourism, attracting urban and foreign tourists to experience traditional village life.

With a strong road and railway network, the region has immense potential for growth. Singla also outlined plans to improve rail connectivity, including the operation of Gurmukhi Express from Anandpur Sahib/Ropar to Patna Sahib, Varanasi, and Ayodhya (via Lucknow) for seven days, and efforts to get stops for Vande Bharat and Andorra Express trains at Mohali Railway Station.

He also plans to explore better train timings for Nangal Dam Express for pilgrimage to Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib Corridor and a connecting train from Mohali for the journey to Mata Vaishno Devi Temple. Expressing gratitude for the love and support from the people of the region, Singla assured that all efforts would be ensured in the development of Shri Anandpur Sahib constituency.
