Story And Screenplay - Shinda Shinda No Papa Review
Gopi, portrayed by the versatile Gippy Grewal, embodies the struggles of a frustrated father residing in Canada. Determined to instil discipline in his mischievous son Shinda, played by Shinda Grewal, Gopi devises a plan to take him back to their homeland, India. However, upon their arrival, Shinda uncovers his father's true intentions, igniting a fierce battle of wills between them.
As the conflict escalates, audiences are confronted with real-life situations mirroring the complexities of everyday life. Who emerges victorious in this emotional tug-of-war, and what profound lessons are unearthed in the process? Only time will reveal the answers, as the film unfolds its powerful message about family, love, and the quest for understanding.
The screenplay of the film occasionally leaves viewers questioning its consistency, wavering between moments of impressive storytelling and disappointing lapses. Overall, while commendable in parts, there is a sense that the screenplay could have been refined to deliver a more satisfying experience.
Acting - Shinda Shinda No Papa Review
In their maiden on-screen collaboration, the authentic father-son duo of Gippy Grewal and Shinda Grewal deliver a captivating performance and as expected their chemistry in every situation was undoubtedly amazing. Shinda Grewal has improved a lot as an actor, elevating his performance from his previous work in Honsla Rakh.
Another on screen father-son duo of Prince Kanwaljit Singh and Guri Ghuman comes out to be the catalyst in the film which elevates overall experience. Guri Ghuman is certainly a future star to look out for.

Hina Khan has undeniably delivered a standout debut performance amongst other actresses trying their hand in Punjabi films. What sets her apart is commitment of dubbing her own lines, a feat few actresses attempted. Her expression, hold of the character and obviously glamorous looks wins the show. Fabulous debut.
Hardip Gill, Nirmal Rishi and Jaswinder Bhalla give impactful performances. Raghveer Boli, Seema Kaushal, Harinder Bhulla and others supported the entire cast at regular intervals.
Writer And Director - Shinda Shinda No Papa Review
Naresh Kathooria has presented a story inspired by his friend. This is a topic which has never been explored before in Punjabi films. His storytelling delves into uncharted territory, offering audiences a unique perspective. With this impressive storyline he also created original dialogues, which effortlessly inject humour into the narrative.
Director Amarpreet GS Chhabra disappoints with an unusual introduction of the characters that falls short of expectations. Such a direct approach for a seasoned star like Gippy Grewal and debutant Hina Khan feels unsatisfactory.
Despite that he showcased some innovative storytelling elements throughout the film and his attempt to inject freshness into the storyline was commendable.
Music - Shinda Shinda No Papa Review
Music section was powerful with few songs infused in the storyline and the best one Disco saved for the last. Particularly noteworthy was the use of background lines for the character of Shinda Grewal, which sounds impressive.
