Several top former Congress leaders from Patiala district under the leadership of Patiala MP Preneet Kaur joined the Bharatiya Janata Party today in the presence of Punjab President Sunil Jakhar and Punjab Incharge Vijay Rupani at the Chandigarh office today.
After the joining while addressing the media Preneet Kaur said, "Impressed by the pro people policies of Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji's government the people of Punjab are regularly joining the Bharatiya Janata Party by leaving other parties. I feel honoured to be a part of such a people centric party and I welcome all these leaders of Patiala district who have joined the BJP today."
She further said, "The entire Punjab BJP unit under the leadership of Sh Sunil Jakhar ji and Sh. Vijay Rupani ji is working hard and I am sure that we will sweep the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Punjab. People of Punjab are fed by the lies and deceits of the bogus AAM Aadmi Party and will surely show them the mirror coming 1st June."
Addressing the media Punjab President Sunil Jakhar said, "I heartily welcome all the new members who have joined the BJP today and I am sure that the party will be further strengthend by their joining. I also welcome MP Patiala Preneet Kaur ji who has for the first time come to our state office after her joining in the BJP."
Talking about the party Jakhar further said, "BJP is committed to ensure that India moves forward through growth and development and 140 crore Indians are fully aware of India's growing successes in the last 10 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. The trust that the people of India have in the party is showcased by these large number of joinings that are happening daily."

ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਤੋਂ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਪ੍ਰਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀ ਆਗੂ ਅੱਜ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੁਨੀਲ ਜਾਖੜ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਵਿਜੇ ਰੂਪਾਨੀ ਦੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ, "ਮਾਨਯੋਗ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੋਕ ਪੱਖੀ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਦੂਜੀਆਂ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਣ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਲੋਕ ਕੇਂਦਰਿਤ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਅੱਜ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।"
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਸੁਨੀਲ ਜਾਖੜ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਵਿਜੇ ਰੁਪਾਣੀ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਇਕਾਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਯਕੀਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੂੰਝਾ ਫੇਰੂ ਜਿੱਤ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ। ਇਸ ਜਾਅਲੀ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਝੂਠ ਅਤੇ ਧੋਖੇ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਅੱਕ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ 1 ਜੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੀਸ਼ਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਦਿਖਾਉਣਗੇ।"
ਮੀਡੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੁਨੀਲ ਜਾਖੜ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਮੈਂ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਤੋਂ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਪ੍ਰਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋਕਿ ਭਾਜਪਾ 'ਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਦਫਤਰ ਆਏ ਹਨ।''ਪਾਰਟੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਜਾਖੜ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ''ਭਾਜਪਾ ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ 'ਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧੇ ਅਤੇ 140 ਕਰੋੜ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ 'ਚ ਪਿਛਲੇ 10 ਸਾਲਾਂ 'ਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਧ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਫਲਤਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਹਨ।'
