The District Employment and Counselling Centre Baramulla in collaboration with Govt Polytechnic College Baramulla successfully organized a Mini Job Fair cum Certificate Distribution of Electric Vehicle Repair (EVR) among Trained candidates at Govt Polytechnic College Baramulla.

The event witnessed the participation of 6 renowned companies from various sectors, including Manufacturing, Insurance, and IT communication, offering over 500 job vacancies. A total of 200 students participated in the interviews which were both held in offline and virtual mode by the visiting companies. Out of 55 candidates shortlisted, 30 were selected and offered job letters for various positions across different companies. Notably, one candidate secured a job offer of 3.6 lacs at Punjab National Bank.

During the inaugural ceremony, Director Employment J&K, Nisar Ahmad Wani exhorted the youth to adopt a focused approach to building their livelihoods, either through employment or self-employment. He emphasized the importance of nurturing the right mindset, confidence, and acquiring the necessary skills and education to achieve their desired career goals.

Furthermore, 27 candidates who had completed a three-month Skill Development Training program in Electric Vehicle Repair were awarded training certificates by the Director Employment. Besides Assistant Director Employment, Principal Govt Polytechnic College Baramulla while interacting with candidates stressed upon having a job oriented attitude for achieving success in their careers. They encouraged them to give their best in the interviews and wished them well for their future endeavors.
