Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann's statewide campaign to settle the pending Mutation cases in Punjab received a great response in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district, today. Deputy Commissioner Mrs Ashika Jain informed that about 1942 Mutations were attested by Tehsildars/Naib Tehsildars related to all Tehsils and Sub Tehsils of the Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district.

She said that with this special campaign launched to dispose of the pending Mutation applications on Saturday, those people, whose cases were pending due to one or the other reason, have benefited a lot.

She said that in view of not being able to clear the pending Mutations during the working days, Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann had asked Revenue and Rehabilitation Minister Bram Shankar Jimpa to launch a special single day campaign for settlement of pending Mutation cases across Punjab on January 6.

She said that on the instructions of Revenue and Rehabilitation Minister Punjab Bram Shankar Jimpa, the pending Mutations in the tehsils and sub-tehsils of the district were cleared today. While giving the details of the Mutations attested/registered in each tehsil, the Deputy Commissioner said that the highest number of 1079 cases were recorded in Kharar Tehsil in the district.

Kharar also includes the sub tehsils Gharun and Majri. Similarly, 562 cases were disposed of in Derabassi Tehsil, which includes Zirakpur Sun Tehsil. Mohali Tehsil, which includes Banur Sub Tehsil also, recorded registration of 301 Mutations.

In these special camps, Tehsildar Jaswinder Singh Kharar, Tehsildar Mohali Kuldeep Singh Dhillon, Tehsildar Derabassi Kuldeep Singh, Naib Tehsildar Majri Jasvir Kaur, Naib Tehsildar Mohali Ravinder Singh and Naib Tehsildar Derabassi Gurinderjit Singh made a special contribution in clearing the pendency.

Deputy Commissioner Mrs Ashika Jain further informed that if there is any problem in getting work done at any level in the Revenue department, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has already issued a helpline number 8184900002 in this regard, on which a written complaint can be made on WhatsApp. The NRIs can send their written complaints to 9464100168.

MLA Mohali Kulwant Singh and MLA Derabassi Kuljit Singh Randhawa also visited these camps and took stock of the facilities provided to the people. Both appreciated Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan's decision to give relief to the common people by arranging such type of special camps. They said that the government elected by the people of Punjab is trying to remove all their difficulties by doing everything in the interest of the people.
