In Continuation of Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra, MLA Derabassi Kuljit Singh Randhawa flagged off fourth batch of SAS Nagar pilgrims from Derbassi, today. The pilgrims to visit Mata Naina Devi, Sri Anandpur Sahhib, Mata Chintpurni  and  Jawala Ji during their two days pilgrimage.

Appreciating the noble initiative of Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, MLA Kuljeet Singh said that the move aimed at providing equal opportunity to  people of all religions thus to convey the message, Punjab Government respects all the religions.

He further said that the people especially elderly have great wish for paying obeisance at religious places. The Bhagwant Singh Mann Government has got their blessings by arranging the pilgrimage under Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra, he added.

MLA Kuljit Singh further said that earlier a bus from Gurdwara Nabha Sahib has already been gone to the Sri Amritsar-Talwandi Sabo religious circuit. He said the batch of pilgrims departed today would also spend two days on this pilgrimage and would halt for night stay at Sri Anandpur Sahib.

Before departing the bus, the MLA handed over kits including Blankets, Bedsheets, Pillows besides toiletry kits to each of the pilgrim. A thorough medical examination was also done before the boarding of pilgrims to the Bus. MLA Randhawa said that the medical facility would also be made available on the way, in case they need. 

For this the Government health facilities situated on the route have already been put on alert.

SDM Derabassi Himanshu Gupta who was also present on the occasion with Naib Tehsildar Harinderpal Singh to oversee the arrangements, said that as per the guidelines got from state, the local administration has tried its best to ensure a comfortable journey for all.

The Pilgrims, who were much excited to be the part of Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra, especially thanked the Chief Minsiter Bhgawant Singh Mann and MLA Kuljeet Singh Randhawa for launching such a public oriented initiative. They said equivocally that most of them wanted to go on pilgrimage but due to one or another reason could not go. Today’s day is full of joyous for them to avail a great opportunity at the behest of Punjab Government.
