The second batch of 43 pilgrims from district SAS Nagar, today left for the religious pilgrimage of Amritsar-Talwandi Sabo circuit from Gurdwara Nabha Sahib Zirakpur. Divulging  details, the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Derabassi, Himanshu Gupta said that there will be eight buses for pilgrimage from Derabassi constituency. The boarding and lodging would be provided by the Punjab Government under Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra, he added.

Before boarding the bus, the pilgrims were given a kit of blanket, bedsheet, pillow and umbrella each besides a personal toiletry kits. A thorough medical checkup was also done for all before boarding.SDM Himanshu Gupta said that the two day pilgrimage has been planned well in advance taking care of all the needs.

The AC buses have been equipped with first aid kits besides putting on alert the government hospitals situating on the road in case of any medical emergency, he  further added.The jubilant passengers who boarded the bus for pilgrimage were expressing gratitude to the Bhagwant Singh Mann Government for taking the initiative for them to take to religious places.

Satpal Singh from Green City, Dhakoli, Pritam Singh from Zirakpur, Sucha Singh from Zirakpur said equivocally that the initiative would prove beneficial for those who feel helpless to go on pilgrimage due to one or another reason.
