Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya on Monday emphasized the need for concerted and diligent efforts to achieve the Viksit Bharat goal set by Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi during the launch of Viksit Bharat @2047 Ideas Portal. With 24 years remaining to realize this common goal, he stressed the importance of collaborative and dedicated work to accomplish the vision.

Sh Dattatraya was addressing the Vice Chancellors, Registrars and faculty members of all state universities and institutions during a workshop on the theme Viksit Bharat @2047 held at Haryana Raj Bhavan here today. Vidhan Sabha Speaker Shri Gian Chand Gupta was also present on the occasion along with Senior Officers, VCs, Registrars, Faculty Members and other dignitaries.

He mentioned that the objective of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047, as outlined in the vision of creating New India, is an ambitious goal that mirrors the collective aspirations of the country's citizens and leadership. This vision entails a future where the nation successfully overcomes its current challenges and achieve holistic socio-economic progress.

The Governor urged all Vice Chancellors to establish a dedicated Vision@2047 cell within their universities, exclusively focused on today's crucial workshop. He emphasized the importance of incorporating a QR code on the official website of each university for direct access to the Viksit Bharat portal.

Furthermore, he stressed the need to inspire the nation's future leaders our students to express their perspectives on the vision of a developed India. To achieve this, Sh Bandaru Dattatraya proposed the launch of a social media campaign to engage students actively in the journey towards making India a developed nation by 2047.

Sh Bandaru Dattatraya suggested allocating ten minutes at the beginning of each day in colleges for discussions and brainstorming sessions on the topic of Developed India. He expressed confidence that each university would establish a dedicated cell to collect feedback from students, encouraging them to provide their insights from December 11th to December 25th.

Additionally, he recommended promptly devising a roadmap for Viksit Bharat Utsav by involving students in discussions and dialogues. He also emphasized the importance of encouraging the participation from NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, and youth from other organizations in the Viksit Bharat Utsav.

He said that the universities and colleges in the state should not only excel in teaching but also serve as robust catalysts for the inclusive development of the country. This dual role, he emphasized, is crucial for guaranteeing the accomplishment of the ambitious target set for the year 2047.

The Governor urged all Vice-Chancellors to proactively communicate with students via email, explicitly outlining the objectives of the Viksit Bharat@2047 campaign. He encouraged them to motivate students to contribute their valuable suggestions and ideas towards this significant endeavour.

The Governor conveyed that a draft email, complete with a web page link and QR code, will be provided to the Vice-Chancellors. Their responsibility will be to distribute this email to students using the contact information available in university records. The Vice-Chancellors are encouraged to motivate students to actively engage with the portal by clicking on the provided link and sharing their perspectives on various issues presented, he said.

The Governor-Chancellor highlighted the significant resemblance between our new National Education Policy and the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. The Governor emphasized the pivotal role played by skill development and the entrepreneurship ecosystem, identified as crucial pillars in the new National Education Policy, which are expected to contribute significantly to achieving the goal of a developed India by the year 2047. 

Drawing parallels with the successful economic transformations of countries like Japan, Germany, Singapore, and South Korea, despite facing considerable challenges, he expressed confidence that India, too, stands at the cusp of a similar opportunity during this transformative era.

He advised the Vice Chancellors of the universities that, regardless of the length of their tenure, they should discharge their responsibilities with focus and dedication. Maintaining regular contact with students, he encouraged them to inspire and guide students towards achieving their goals. 

Suggesting the formation of groups and regular interactions with students, he emphasized the importance of creating an environment where VCs feel the concern of students and connect with them.Stressing the need for collective effort, he urged everyone to work together in advancing the vision and determination set forth by the Prime Minister.

Anupama, Principal Secretary of Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Department Mr. Vijayendra Kumar, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Amit Agrawal, Chairman of Haryana Higher Education Council Mr. K.C. Sharma, Secretary to the Governor Sh Atul Dwivedi, Vice Chancellors of several universities, Directors and Chairman of various institutions, Registrars, Deans, media persons and faculty members were also present on this occasion.
