The second leg of Back to Village-5 (B2V5) programme started today in 62 Panchayats of Reasi district, with much enthusiasm and public participation. The designated Visiting Officers along with supporting staff remained stationed at their allocated village panchayats and listened to villagers and prepared Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) as per the needs of people of the village.

On second phase B2V5, Senior Officers of district administration visited different Gram Panchayats of the district to monitor the proceedings of the ambitious Back to Village programme. On the occasion, the officers were accompanied by the concerned tehsildars and BDOs. Gram Sabhas were organised in all the 62 Panchayats and the visiting officers garnered feedback regarding development activities and requirements.

Sports kits, soil health cards, sanction cards for old age widow and handicapped pension schemes, seeds and indoor game kits were distributed among the beneficiaries by the visiting officers at their respective stations. The visiting officers were seen interacting with members of the Gram Sabha, administering pledges to make the system and society corruption free.

Besides the formulation of GPDP, inspection of public offices, inspection of works taken up under various CSS, Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), PMAY-G, PMEGP, PM-Kissan, and KCC was also conducted. The Visiting Officers also inspected Amrit Sarovar projects, conducted awareness on Self Employment schemes and took feedback on welfare schemes.

They documented all the grievances projected during these days and assured locals of early redressal of their genuine issues and demands. The resource persons also educated the public about scores of welfare schemes and programmes being implemented in the district and motivated them to avail the benefits of the same.
