The fifth phase of the 'Back to Village' initiative, a flagship program in the Union Territory, garnered significant public engagement in Udhampur district. Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Rahul Yadav, as the visiting officer of Panchayat Mantalai, extensively interacted with PRI members and officials of line departments.

The Udhampur District visiting officer actively participated in the Gram Sabha session, inspected Capex works, PMAY house, Patwar Khana and other government institutions. Throughout the day, the visiting officers engaged with PRIs and the general public across different Panchayats in the district, seeking detailed feedback on the ground-level status of government schemes. The discussions included inquiries about ongoing developmental works and flagship schemes.

Numerous activities took place in the Panchayats, such as inaugurations of various projects, sports and cultural events, plantation drives, Gram Sabhas, inspections of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and other development works, interactions with farmers, visits to Anganwadi and other government institutions, and awareness sessions on Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan.
