The Back to Village-5 (B2V5) program kick-started today in Reasi district with Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan leading the initiative. The take off witnessed an overwhelming response from the public, showcasing great enthusiasm and participation. The District Administration has deployed several visiting officers for B2V5, tasked with the responsibility of receiving and documenting public feedback.

The valuable data will form a robust database essential for ensuring sustainable development in the district, benefiting the rural population at large. In the inaugural phase, the Back to Village-5 program is being conducted in 10 blocks, with plans to extend to other blocks in subsequent phases. The program is set to conclude on 16 November 2023.

The Visiting officers, along with supporting staff and government functionaries, reached their designated destinations, actively engaging with villagers. They listened to concerns, gathered input, and formulated the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) in alignment with the aspirations of the local communities.

The Visiting officers interacted with residents, addressing day-to-day developmental issues. They conducted thorough inspection of ongoing projects under different schemes, including schools, wellness centers, Anganwadi centers, and other institutions. The officers also witnessed the local events, sports activities, and the Graha Parvesh ceremonies for beneficiaries in PMAY-G houses.

The visiting officers meticulously monitored the implementation of the Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) at the grassroots level. This included beneficiary-oriented initiatives such as Jal Jeeven Mission (JJM), PMAY-G, PMEGP, PM-Kissan, and KCC. The District Administration emphasized the importance of executing all aspects of the program thoroughly, ensuring accurate documentation of different schemes implemented in each Panchayat.

The aim is to achieve sustainable development and meet the needs of the rural population effectively. The Back to Village-5 program reflects a commitment to grassroots development and underscores the government's dedication to understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by rural communities.
