In anticipation to the remaining two rounds of fifth phase of the Back to Village Programme (B2V-5), Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, sensitised stakeholders and Prabhari Officers of their role and responsibility while visiting their respective panchayat.

Necessary hands-on training was imparted to the visiting officers by ADDC, Pran Singh and ACD, Phulail Singh. The remaining 2nd and 3rd rounds would be conducted from   14th to 15th of November and 15th to 16th of November, respectively. The meeting brought together Prabhari officers, Block Development Officers (BDOs) and other key officials involved in the B2V-5 programme.

During the meeting, the Block Development Officers were given the role as nodal officers for their respective blocks. Their responsibilities include coordinating logistics for visiting officers in their designated Panchayats. Additionally, Tehsildars and Block Dev. Officers will collaborate with visiting officers to ensure a comfortable public interaction and stay during their visit.

The Visiting Officers are required to be in their panchayat for the success of the program. To facilitate communication, a WhatsApp group named "B2V5 Doda" has been established, encompassing all visiting and senior officers. In the round 2nd, 78 panchayats shall be visited by the designated Prabhari Officers, and in the last and the third round, 68 panchayats are going to receive visiting officers as part of ongoing B2V5 programme.

In a recent development, Deputy Commissioner convened a meeting with concerned officers, underscoring the district's commitment to make coordinated efforts for gainful, result oriented implementation of Back to Village phase 5 (B2V-5) Programme. It is pertinent to mention here that the Back to Village (B2V) Programme is the flagship public outreach, participation, and feedback programme of the UT Government.

During the programme, the Prabhari Officers shall visit their respective panchayats, stay there for a specific period to interact and obtain feedback from the grass-roots so as to tailor Government efforts in improving the delivery of village-specific services. The B2V programme is aimed at involving the people and government officials in a joint effort to deliver the mission of equitable development in rural areas.
