In a significant development, Punjab witnessed the launch of the Shiromani Azad Akali Dal, a new political party, aiming to address the longstanding issues faced by its people. Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, a prominent leader, highlighted the party's commitment to understanding and resolving the problems that have plagued the state for a considerable period.

Expressing his concerns, Khalsa emphasized that traditional political parties in Punjab have often exacerbated the challenges faced by the public rather than alleviating them. He drew a parallel between the visionary rule of Maharaja Ranjit Singh in Punjab and the party's mission, aiming to work relentlessly to tackle various issues.

The primary objectives of the newly formed party include preventing the desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and eradicating drugs from Punjab. Khalsa earnestly called upon the Sangat, the Sikh community, urging them to actively participate in reshaping the image of Shiromani Akali Dal, a religious-based political party in Punjab. He emphasized the importance of collective effort and political engagement to reconnect with the people and address their concerns effectively.
