Jammu District emerged winner in Divisional Level Kho-Kho tournament in U17 boys category held here in Sports Stadium Doda.The Department of Youth Services and Sports Doda involved staff of all cadres of district Doda for making this tournament successful, emphasizing the significance of promoting indigenous sports. District Doda, the host of the prestigious event, left no stone unturned in ensuring top-notch facilities and an excellent arena for the competition.In a riveting semi-final showdown, Doda reached the final after beating the Samba with a lead of 8 points. The second semi-final featured Udhampur and Jammu, where Jammu secured victory with an 8-point lead. 

The battle for the third-place spot was contested between Samba and Udhampur fiercely, where Udhampur won by an inning and 3 points and claimed the position of second runners-up.In the grand finale between Jammu and Doda, Jammu showcased their prowess and determination, defeating Doda and lifting the coveted championship trophy. The jubilant occasion saw Jaffar Haider Sheikh, the DYSSO Doda, graciously distributing trophies and merit certificates among the deserving winners, celebrating their dedication to the sports. 

Later DYSSO Doda declared the divisional level tournament for U/17 Kho Kho boys (2023) closed.Selectors Raj Kumar Gupta, Raj Kumar Sharma and Ifroz Hussain Rather will have to select the team of Jammu Division for the match with the team of Kashmir division from where the UT team of J&K for further participation at National level will get finalized.Tomorrow teams for U/19 Divisional Level Kho Kho Tournament will reach the venue and their matches will begin from 2nd October 2023 onwards.
