A massive ovarian tumour of 10.2 kg arising from the right ovary and going high into the upper abdomen and pushing all the intestines away had made this 61-year-old woman’s life miserable. Pressing the main blood vessels, the aorta, ureters and kidneys, the mass seemed to be increasing consistently, said Dr Rajandeep Singh Sethi Cancer Surgeon.
Cancer Surgeon from city Dr Rajandeep Singh operated on this huge ovarian mass this month as there was no metastatic spread of mass inside the stomach, the patient is fit now . Ovarian tumour being 4th most prevalent women cancer after breast, cervix-uteri, esophagus in Punjab as per ICMR National registry.
Regular screening being the key to early diagnosis is advised to all women every year
