In order to create an awareness about the traditions, rich cultural heritage and the glorious past of our great Nation amongst the youth of South Kashmir, a National integration event "Mera Desh Meri Pehchan" was organised by the Indian Army on 25-26 Aug 2023 at Panzgom, Pulwama.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response with more than 1800 school children and college students participating in it. The event provided an opportunity to engage the youth of South Kashmir with an aim to inculcate a sense of Nationalism and motivated them to constructively devote themselves in Nation building.
The programe involved cultural experience, competitions and many more exciting events which were very informative in broadening their horizon. They were also made aware about various entry schemes/ opportunities available for the youth in the Armed Forces.
It was a momentous occasion for the youth of South Kashmir as Dr Basharat Qayoom, IAS, DC Pulwama visited the event and interacted with the students. The DC felicitated the prize winners. He stressed upon the need to spread the message of nationalism and taking pride in being the citizens of our great Nation.
He also appreciated the efforts of Indian Army for conducting the event successfully and the youth for participating enthusiastically in the event.
