Eye check up camp organised for Drivers, Cleaners at Bhaderwah

Motor Vehicle Department (MVD), in collaboration with the Ayush Department, today organized an eye checkup camp for drivers and Cleaners here at Seri Bazar Bhaderwah.During the camp, drivers were screened for different eye conditions, and those requiring further treatment or specialized care were referred to appropriate healthcare facilities. 

More than 70 drivers were checked and provided medications free of cost. The aim of the camp was to ensure the well-being and safety of drivers and Cleaners by providing them with free eye check-ups and necessary treatments.On the occasion, ARTO Rajesh Gupta emphasized the importance of regular eye check-up for drivers, as good vision is crucial for safe driving.

Doctors from Ayush Department imparted a detailed awareness to the participants about common eye problems that can affect their vision, such as refractive errors, cataracts, and glaucoma. Drivers were also informed about the significance of wearing appropriate eyewear, such as glasses or contact lenses, if needed.

The ARTO was accompanied by SDPO Bhaderwah, Wassim, Tehsildar Bhaderwah Umar Jahanzeb, members of Transport Associations of Bhanderwah and other officials of MVD.
