Lovely Professional University (LPU) celebrated India’s 77th Independence Day at its campus, where Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) & Chancellor of LPU Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal hoisted the National Flag. Congratulating staff members, students and people of India, Dr. Mittal invoked all to follow the path of freedom fighters, and keep on progressing in their respective domains.
Dr Mittal also briefed all about 76 years’ continuous hard work to see present day glorious India. LPU students of NCC, NSS, sports, cultural departments and others demonstrated patriotic fervor while saluting the hoisted national flag.
LPU’s Pro Chancellor Mrs Rashmi Mittal also graced the occasion. The sense of unity and camaraderie among the students got amplified during various patriotic celebrations. Students from diverse backgrounds came together to celebrate unity in diversity.
Even, international students joined hands in celebrations to prove oneness all around. Patriotic play, songs, mime, and cultural showcase let students imbibe nationalism to the core.
During all this, patriotic slogans like “Bharat Mata ki Jai, Vande Maatram, Jai Hind and more” kept on echoing. ‘Tri-colours’ were also seen hoisted at different blocks of the University.
