In a gift to the Jalandharites on the eve of 77th Independence Day, 17 new Aam Aadmi Clinics (AACs) were dedicated to the people of the district on Monday to transform Punjab into a healthy state.
Over 2.5 lakh patients have already been benefitted from the existing 38 Aam Aadmi Clinics in the district.These ultra-modern clinics have been offering 38 types of clinical tests for free and 94 different medicines to patients without any cost.
Participating in the virtual opening of 76 new AACs throughout Punjab by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh Inaugurated one of the clinics in Raowali village and said that his government had made a promise to the people before elections that quality health services will be delivered to them through such clinics free of cost at their doorsteps and today with the opening of 17 new clinics, now 55 such centres will be operating in the district.
He said that this paperless system of treating patients was also helping to give an authentic data of patients and the situation of the particular area. He said that these clinics would also be helpful in easing out the burden of patients in Government Hospitals.
The Minister also said that apart from this, 117 'Schools of Eminence' were already started by the state government to offer quality education to the students of the state. He said that apart from sending the principals to Singapore for training, the batch of head teachers are also being sent to IIM Ahmedabad.
He said that the students were also earlier sent to Sri Harikota during the launch of Chandrayaan for practical experience in space science.Similarly, Lok Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Rinku, Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal, MLA Raman Arora, Inderjeet Kaur Mann, Chairperson Punjab State Container and Warehousing Corporation Rajwinder Kaur Thiara, Chairman Punjab Agri Export Corporation Limited Mangal Singh, Chairman District Planning Board Amritpal Singh, AAP leaders Dinesh Dhall, Surinder Singh Sodhi and ADCs Dr Amit Mahajan Varinder Pal Bajwa also dedicated clinics in seperate areas of the district.
Today, AACs were opened in Raowali, Reru, Rain Basera (Side Hall) Near Sant Cinema Domoria Pul, ACP North Office Dada Colony, Shaheed Udham Singh Charitable Health Care Center Lamba Pind, Sewa Kendra Burlton Park, Baba Lal Dayal Mandir, Pratap Bagh, Sewa Kendra Dhina, Jalandhar Cantt (RC Board School Building), Qazi Mandi, Maqsudan, Garha, Focal Point, Driving track Jalandhar Bus stand, Mohan Vihar and Basti Danishmandan.
