As part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and under the ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign, a plantation drive was today carried out at District Police Lines Kulgam.The plantation drive was kick-started by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat and SSP Kulgam, Sahil Sarangal by planting saplings near the Shaheed Marg of Dy.SP Aman Thakur.
ADC, ACR, A-SP and other officers from police and civil administration participated in this plantation drive.Multifarious activities are being carried out in the District under ‘Meri Mati, Mera Desh’ campaign and the plantation drive was also a part of the campaign to pay tribute to the brave hearts who sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle and also for protecting the sovereignty of the nation.
