Nations Development Association (NDA) affiliated Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Jammu under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Government of India as part of Mission Lifestyle for Environment Programme is organising various awareness programs on Water conservation, Minimization of food wastage, Reduction of E-waste, Reduction of Single-use plastic etc, through various campaigns and activities/competitions like Know Your Tree campaign, Slogan writing competition, Poster making competitions, Seminars and Essay writing competition at Bal Shishu Shiksha Kender High School Kalu Chak from 30th May 2023 to aware people to adopt Sustainable lifestyle and to engage individuals in mitigating the adverse effects of climate change.
The Mission Lifestyle for Environment Programme creates and nurtures global network of individuals, namely ‘Pro-Planet People’ (P3), which will have a shared commitment to adopt and promote environment friendly lifestyles. Through the P3 community, the Mission seeks to create an ecosystem that will reinforce and enable environment friendly behaviours to be self-sustainable.
Nations Development Association (NDA) affiliated NYKS under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Government of India is making every effort through various awareness programmes to create awareness among people to adopt Sustainable Lifestyle. Awareness programs was conducted under the supervision of Nisar Ahmad Bhat, State Director, NYKS J&K, Ladakh.
Sushil Singh Charak Chairman Nations Development Association (NDA) said that UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP26), Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the mission of “LiFE (Lifestyle for the Environment)” to engage individuals in mitigating the adverse effects of climate change.
This initiative encourages a lifestyle that focuses on mindful and deliberate utilization of resources and aims to change the present 'use and dispose of' consumption habits. The idea behind is to encourage individuals to adopt simple changes in their daily life that can contribute to climate change.
