In a significant development in the Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-election, the Srishti Karta Bhagwan Valmiki Parbhandak Committee Punjab, Jalandhar, has announced its support for Congress candidate Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary. The Valmiki leaders made the announcement after meeting with Karamjit Chaudhary in the city’s railway colony, where they promised full support from their community for her candidature.
The community leaders including the Srishti Karta Bhagwan Valmiki Parbhandak Committee president Kuldeep Gill and Raj Kumar Raju said the Congress party and Chaudhary family have always fought for the rights of Valmiki community and worked for their upliftment.
“Ever since the Indian Independence, the Congress party has worked to ensure the dignity of our lives, and it is because of outstanding leaders like Late Chaudhary Santokh Singh that the poor and marginalized people got opportunities to rise in their lives. As a gesture of gratitude and to pay our tribute to him, we are supporting Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary ji in the by election,” they said.
Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary thanked the Bhagwan Valmiki Parbhandak Committee leaders and vowed to continue to work tirelessly for the betterment of the community. She highlighted the need to address the issues faced by the community and assured them of her full support.
