Continuing her election campaign, Congress candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha by-poll, Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary on Sunday held a series of election meetings across the parliamentary constituency, garnering enthusiastic support from local residents and party members alike.
Multiple meetings were conducted in the rural areas of Muthadda Khurd, Kang Araiyan, Akalpur, and Bakapur by MLA Phillaur Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary to garner support for the congress candidate which saw a strong turnout of voters.
Additionally, Karamjit Chaudhary addressed election meetings in Langrian and Muthadda Kalan, in the Phillaur assembly, which were also well-received by attendees.The Congress candidate also held several election meetings in Jalandhar City, visiting areas such as Gurjepal Nagar, New Jawahar Nagar, and Paras Estate.
Her campaign events drew a large crowd of supporters, who expressed their admiration for the former MP Late Shri Santokh Singh Chaudhary and his family’s dedication to serving the people of Jalandhar over the past 10 decades.
During the meetings, Karamjit Chaudhary talked about the various development initiatives undertaken by the Congress party & Santokh Singh Chaudhary in Jalandhar and the need to continue working towards the betterment of the community.
Speaking about the warm reception she received during the campaign, she said, "I am grateful to the people of Jalandhar for their love and support. It is heartening to see that they have not forgotten the work done by Chaudhary Saab and continue supporting us.”
The response from the people has been overwhelming, and they have shown great love and support for both Karamjit Kaur and her late husband Santokh Singh Chaudhary.
One supporter in attendance at the campaign stops in Muthadda Khurd shared, "We have great respect for Karamjit Chaudhary ji as she has always been there for us along with Chaudhary Saab and worked tirelessly to improve the lives of the people in our community.
We have never seen a more accessible politician, even when he was an MLA, a Minister or an MP. We are confident that she will continue that tradition as our representative after the by-poll also."
With the support of party leaders and a passionate base of supporters, Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary's campaign is gaining momentum as the election approaches. The by-poll in Jalandhar are scheduled to take place on May 10th.
