Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet, and the concerned officers today paid obeisance at Shiromani Dera Santpura Nangali Sahib and convened a meeting with the Shrimaan Mahant Manjeet Singh Ji of Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch to discuss the arrangement for annual Baisakhi festival.
The meeting was convened by the President DGPC Poonch, Narinder Singh. In the meeting, the management committee raised various issues related to the arrangements for the Baisakhi celebration. They appealed to the Deputy Commissioner to make arrangements of drinking water, light, sanitation, security and parking etc.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that the security and ARTO Poonch will maintain parking for vehicles.Manager Dera Nangali Sahib, Janak Singh appealed to the Deputy Commissioner to arrange the water tanker on the day of Baisakhi.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the PDD and PHE to provide adequate power and potable water supply and also directed to arrange water tankers on the day of Baisakhi. He also directed EO municipality to repair all defunct street lights and install some more light as per the need.
He further directed to maintain cleanliness in and around the places of worship and at the places of congregations.The officers of police were asked to ensure foolproof security arrangements during the festivals."
Meanwhile, Shrimaan Mahant Manjit Singh Ji Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch and Deputy Commissioner Poonch inaugurated New Power Sub Station at Gurudwara Nangali sahib. The newly developed Sub Station, a special feeder from Bandichechian receiving station, will ensure 24 hour power supply Service to Gurdwara Nangali Sahib.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Abid Hussain Shah; Xen PHE, Riaz Ahmed; Xen PDD, Irshad Hussain; EO, Municipality, Varinderpal Singh; Municipality, Mushtaq Hussain; XEN PWD(R&B), Harvinder Singh; ARTO Poonch, Basharat Mehmood, JE PDD, Jagmeet Singh & other concerned officers besides Bupinder Singh from Dera Nangali Sahib, Gen. Secy DGPC, Harcharan Singh, Surjan Singh from DGPC Poonch, President GSBMS, Anmol Singh and other members of Dera Nangali Sahib were present.
